If you want to join Vista client to SBS 2003 domain, please try to install the following hotfix first:
Windows Small Business Server 2003: Windows Vista and Outlook 2007 compatibility update http://support.microsoft.com/?id=926505
Then test this issue.
Before we go any further, please let me know the following information so that we can understand your situation more clearly.
1. Please let me know the detail steps you migrate settings to SBS. Do you use connectcomputer wizard?
2. Please capture screenshots on the error messages and send the pictures to me at v-terliu[ at ]microsoft.com
3. What is the last Hurtle?
