Change of Company name
Jonney 04.07.2007 08:04:05
Hello All, Can somebody please help with the following small problem I am
having.

I have an SBS 2003 standard server, when it was built I entered all the
company details and all works fine. However the company name has changed and
I would like to reflect this on the server. The domain name is fine, I have
changed the RWW and companyweb to reflect the new name with no problems but I
cannot find how to change the name on performance alerts. If for example I
have an alert about the print spooler it will always display the old company
name followed by in brackets the administrator email address, but if I send
an email from the administrator account to test if it's the administrator
display name it just shows administrator in the name.

Please Help

Many Thanks

Jonney

Russ,

I have made the changes here as you suggest, there were two option
"regisered company" and "redistered owner" they were both blank so i have
filled them in. However I have since recieved a performance alert from the
server still showing the old comapny name? I have searched the registy for
any reference to the old name and updated to the new name. Do i need to
restart? or is it still something else

Goto Administrative Tools, Health Monitor and drill down to Actions /
Send e-mail with monitoring alert, right click, properties, detail will
allow you to change the sender of the alert to match the new company name.
