I have setup Exchange 2003 Envelope journaling to a Public Folder on a Single SBS and it has been working well, is easy to manage, and the client likes it.
I have just checked the Folder and found all Inbound mail is being journaled correctly, however no Outbound mail is being recorded.
Can someone please tell me why this is so, and if it has something to do with the Public Folders Directory Rights (active directory) and/or User Permissions (access).
I know the standard way to journal is to use a Journal Recipient mailbox, however the current Inbound recording to the Public Folder is perfect, just what the client wants, and saves a SBS user license.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
