KimaM 12.07.2007 02:18:00
I want to be able to send large files to my small business server 2003...so,
I want to setup an FTP server. How do I do that?

Be warned... running an FTP Site on SBS is a big security risk.

Find and download the open source Server Zilla FTP program, it doesn't
use NT Security, permits you to have different starting drives/folders
per user, allows you to throttle upload and download, and it's free. I
never use Windows FTP any more.

Also, FTP is one of the most common intrusion points in the world.

thanks Henry,
Is there another more appropriate method for me to use on SBS2k3 that is
already available in SBS2k3?

It's actually easier to manage and more reliable IMO than windows FTP :)

Information About the IIS File Transmission Protocol (FTP) Service
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=283679

Use VPN - at least it doesn't use Clear Text Authentication.
or more securely use RWW.
