Hi, I have a ghost image of a reference computer (note, the trick is to NEVER LOCK the profile before Ghosting, period.) which after having the image applied, windows activated, validated and everything turned on, is going to be put on the floor as a kiosk/podium computer.
I logged in as Administrator, turned off Windows Disk protection and installed a Linksys USB wireless NIC and now I've lost the Welcome screen and auto-login capabilities. Instead I get the Windows Classic logon screen. If I type in the restricted username (no password) it logs in and everythign works fine, however that's not the functionality I want. I un-checked use the Welcome Screen, rebooted, turned it back on, re-checked use the welcome screen, rebooted again but it still won't come back up.
Other than going in and forcing it to auto-logon to the classic logon through the registry, is there a way to restore Welcome Screen functionality after installing a secondary NIC?
