Permissions, Objects, Location
SimonW 02.07.2007 13:26:03
Is it possible to grant a Group on a Windows XP Pro machine access to a share
on another machine ? i.e. machine0\Users. Both are in the same WORKGROUP.

In Shares, Permissions, Advanced there is a box named 'Location' and a
button that suggests this is possible. But the textbox is greyed. The
permissions dialogue does not allow the above path.

Reason: I would like to allow all Users from one XP machine access to a
share on another, without them needing to enter an Administrator username and
password.

This might be possible if each user had an identical account on each
machine. But I just want all machine0\Users to have seamless access to the
share on machine1

Thanks in advance, Simon
