windows components missing - unable to install
sylvia 05.07.2007 18:58:04
I have recently had to do a clean install of windows xp pro. Since then the
calculator in accessories is missing and I am unable to add it.

When I go to add and remove windows components the accessories check box is
ticked and not grayed out - under details the calculator is checked.
I have tried removing and then adding all of the accessories and this is
successful apart from the missing calculator.

I am not very computer literate but believe I have followed the correct
procedure for adding windows components and am baffled.
I have done a search of the hard drive using 'calculator' as the search word
- there are many results but none that I recognise as the calculator and I
don't feel confident to delve more deeply.

I would be extremely grateful for any advice as I use the calculator
frequently.
Thank you

You can also just go to Start, Run, and type calc.exe in the Run box.
Click OK and the calculator should open.
