Msi Distribution Point migration from server to new server.
Brandon Falley 03.07.2007 18:58:03
I am currently working on migrating our msi distribution server form one
physical box to a new one. I am wondering if anyone could point me in the
right direction for best practices on this. I am thinking that if I simply
keep the server name and share names the same then it will not affect the
software installed via gpo. I have tested this and it worked fine for my test
but I have office installed on about 1000 pc’s and don’t want to risk it
uninstalling and reinstalling. Does anyone know if this is for sure possible?
