Hello,
I am running a test Win2000 to Win2003 upgrade in a lab. I started with a Win2000 DC and an Exchange 2000 server. I ran the Windows 2003 forest prep and domain prep on the Win2000 DC. Then, I ran DCPROMO on the Windows 2003 server. The promo completed successfully, however, when I go into the DNS control panel on the new Win2003 DC, I see my domain listed as a AD Integrated primary zone, but there is a red X on it.
If I click on it, it says, "Zone Not Loaded by DNS Server". The DNS server encountered a problem while attempting to load the zone. The zone data may not be available in AD or the zone data is corrupt". Also, if I right click on the zone and select Properties, the status says Expired.
Did I miss any steps during the upgrade? Why did this happen? and what I can I do to correct it?
Thanks, Scallica
