Hello, and pardon me if this has been asked already elsewhere.
I have a client who has an SBS 2003 server at his company's HQ. His company has a branch office with about 3 users that connect their PCs to the remote server via a persistent hardware VPN connection. The connection works fine; users can login directly to the domain. However, the branch users say it is somewhat slow to access files from the server.
Hence, we are considering adding a Windows 2003 server at the branch office. My questions are as follows:
- Can DFS or file replication be setup for the two servers for the purposes of sharing files?
- Are there any articles out there that describe how to do this?
- Is this difficult to do, and what things should I watch out for when setting this up?
- Are there any other alternatives you would recommend other than DFS or file replication?
Thanks in advance! I look forward to the responses!
