I bought a Hauppauge WinTV 150 board a year ago and ran it just fine = with XP Media Center Edition. I mainly used it to record shows and = replay to my TV.
Got a new hard drive and installed Vista Ultimate and now Media Center = won't get past the IR Blaster part of the setup because it doesn't = recognize that I have a Blaster connected. I never used it before and = have a device with one cable, not a split one that the User Guide = documents.
Has anyone gotten past this?=20
Hauppauge recommends a $39 Remote Control device which might solve the = problem but I wasn't too confident in the support rep's understanding of = my problem. I don't really care about the remote -- I just want Media = Center to record shows. I'm also having trouble getting the WinTV2000 = application to install correctly.
What do you recommend, please? Are there other boards that work the = first time and everyone likes?
Thanks for your support!

Thanks JW, but that brings me back to my original question. If you have = the 150, not the 150MCE, how did you get Vista to configure it? When I = run the Media Center config under Vista, it stops because it can't find = the IR Blaster, even though I have one plugged into the card. You said = I needed the 150MCE version in order to configure but now you're saying = you got it to work with the 150.
Which drivers are you using -- Vista's or Hauppauge's?
Thanks, Lon
