Hi
Been a beta tester for MCE/ Vista and had and still have a lot of questions about when we will see support for DVB-C and DVB-T with CI support in Vista MCE.
I got Both of these cards installed from Digital-everywhere( www.digital-everywhere.com ) which are the best selling cards here in Sweden regarding DVB-C reciveings( they support both 64QAM and 256QAM ), they are both connected via firewire.
I do see a BIG issue about the support for DVB-T ( Terrestial), DVB-C ( Cable ) and DVB-S (satellite ) here in europe, since almost every provider are pairing the tuners with there "own" supplied tuners.
This is a big issue and should really be a big conscern of Microsoft, this will make it hard to sell MCE as supposed to.
P.s There are seldom/ rare that the providers are transmitting free to "air" channels in DVB-S and DVB-C format DVB-T must transmit some natioanl channels that are "free to air"
Please give me a GOOD answer to my questions

Listen to this podcast, it has a lot of good info on European TV and where Media Center is going in the future to support it.
