Get Medicenter to not wake up in the middle of the night...
Hasse 09.05.2007 08:53:00
Hi!
I have a HTPC w Vista Home Premium. it wakes up in the middle of the night
to DL updates and or schedules for the guide. I have used a little utility to
change the time for the DL and the time for installs of patches. So hopefully
it will not start at night now. BUT the reason this bothers me is that it
doesn't shut down again after it's finished?!!? if it just shut down after DL
updates it would be OK, but instead the damn thing just keep running
consuming electricity... any idéas why it keep running?

Secondly I'm having problems with using online media. it just can't play
those videostreams... I'm in Sweden so I really would like to use SF-anytime,
an online movie rental service that used to work just fine on Mediacenter
2005...

It's a pitty SF-Anytime isn't included in Vista Media Center. However it's
just a plugin, and you can find it here:
http://www.modelltag.se/mce/SF-Anytime.zip

I've searched for it for several months without finding it. I don't know why
there's not a link to it on the SF-Anytime website.
