PowerPoint Macro stops working after used a few times
Hi all,
My PowerPoint macro stops work afte rI have used it a few times. First
off, I create the macro and try using it on a few pictures that I have
cut and pasted on to a slide. The macro works fine for about 3-8
slides, but then just stops working--I haven't changed a thing and I am
still working within the same file I created the macro in. Any ideas

Shape names in timeline using PPTTools Starter set plus
Hello all
I'm using starter set plus to rename things so I can see what's going on in
the timeline with all my custom animations (ppt 2003) and it's all good
except for some autoshapes' names don't 'stick'. I have renamed a
parallelogram to 'paper 1' (there will be lots of bits of paper flying about)
and it still apears as 'parallelogram 142' in the custom animation pane. Any
ideas?...

Clip art
I sent a picture to the back and cannot select it to move it, any other
placement allows selection, but how do you select a picture that has been
sent to the back? I keep clicking on it to no avail. Help suggested
pressing shift tab to select something under something else, but that didn't
work either

Struggling with MPEG-2 clips in PowerPoint
I am attempting to insert and play some MPEG-2 video clips, but am having
difficulties. When I insert the Movie from File, a black box appears on the
slide. If I run the show, all I get is the black box. If in PowerPoint I
right click on the box and select "Play Movie", I get a brief flicker

Power Point sound problems
I am using Power Point when I insert a sound file (ripped from a CD) and I
put it in the same folder as the ppt file. Regardless of what setting I pick
when I using the editing options, no soud plays (using the information I
found in help). The file plays fine in winodws media player.
I am using Windows XP Pro Service Pkg 2.

video just shows up white
I have several mpg clips in a 2003 presentation. For some reason 1 will not
play from my laptop. The screen just comes up white. It plays fine from a
desktop machine. The other mpg files play fine from the laptop. Any
thoughts would be appreciated

File not found
Every time I start PowerPont I get a message file not found. Microsoft form.
Also when I try to open my slideshow to edit I keep geting file not found on
this machine.
I have tried to reinstall with the fix program and still have the same
problem.
Any help with this please.

Error received on some power point slides
I received some emails, when I open the email a message appears on the
screen: Some controls on this presentation can't be activated. They might
not be registered on this computer.

page numbers NOT appearing on every slide
I have an 8 slide document and slide numbers do NOT appear on slides 4 or 8.
I went to VIEW, then FOOTER and checked the Slide number box and then Apply
to All with no luck.

How to set automatic update in powerpoint
I have powerpoint presentation embedded in an excel file. I have around 20
Excel graphs linked in powerpoint. When the powerpoint file is opened I get
a dialog box asking if I want to update links.

png file edges are jagged
I am inserting a logo into poweropoint that needs to work on a number of
different background colours. I have saved the logo as a png file and
inserted into powerpoint at 100% of size it appears and at 144dpi.
Unfortunately curved edges of letters appear jagged - is there a way of
cleaning up the png file and achieving a crisper logo???...

Video Quality
Hi,
I am trying to insert avi files into powerpoint. The files are screen
captures of software captured in SnagIt and are high quality but they are
very low quality when they play in powerpoint. The videos show perfectly in
realplayer and are the same size as needed (I am not scaling them in

Looking for a Wireless Mouse
We show a lot of PowerPoint presentations in our conference room, and I'm
looking for a wireless mouse with a 30 foot range. We currently have an
Interlink Versapoint mouse, which does fit that requirement, but we've always
had a lot of trouble with the mouse. My manager was fed up and said "Find

Shortcut/button for drawing custom curve motion path
And while I'm asking questions...
Can I add a button or keyboard shortcut or even have a freefloating toolbar
for adding custom motion paths? I'm adding lots of curves and there must be
an easier way than add effect->motion path->draw custom path->curve. I've
looked all through customise and can't find any reference to any animations.
Please save my sanity :-)
