text dispay problem?
Hello,
Occasionally I am seeing the text, which has been added to an action
button, compressed into a very small graphic which cannot be read.
Usually when I run the presentation again the text is OK.
Any ideas?

Printing of individual slides of an animation slide
I'm running Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 on Microsoft Windows XP
Professional.
There is a need for printing individual slides of an animation slide, i.e.
the view that is presented after each mouse click while running the
presentation.
My first thought is to run the presentation and press Ctrl-P after each
mouse click. But this only changes the arrow cursor to a red dot cursor, a...

doesn't fred.ppt#3 work for Package for CD?
Hello,
If I make a hyperlink to fred.ppt#3 the user does indeed move to slide
3 of the fred.ppt presentation but this does not appear to work after
using Package for CD (using PowerPoint 2003).
Hve I come across something else which does not transfer and work with
PowerPoint Viewer?!

read-ony embedded font - disallows editing?
Today I was given a ppt2003 file created at a corporation that uses a
special "corporate identity" font. I found that upon opening it on my
ppt2003 machine (without that font) I got a msg, something like "contains a
read only embedded font, no editing allowed". In fact it was true; I could

Remember transparency sheets/overhead projectors?
I'm trying to decide the best way to format a PP presentation. My concept
comes from the old age of transparency sheets and overheads. I want to start
with one image and then layer several new images on top of that image
throughout the slideshow. (Think expanding circles with text in each one.) In
an ideal world, text explaining the visual would also come on to the screen

copying music files
I have made a power point presentation on Powerpoint 2002. The music plays on
my computer. I have copied it to a cd and tried showing it on a few other
computers. The slides show fine but the music won't play even though the icon
is there. I have set the "link sound with file size greater than..." to

Edit reference in linked Object
I created an EXCEL spreadsheet and linked certain cells to a power point
presentation. Each row in the spreadsheet will be used for a seperate page

Is it possible to use multiple NOTE masters in one presentation for PP 2003?
We're attempting to use the Notes option and print a PDF which will then go
to a printers to be made into a manual. What I need is to have the page
number display on the left side for left-facing (even numbered) pages and the

How do I change the location of .avi movie in my presentation?
I have to move my presentation to different computers and folders and when I
do, I cannot play my movies because I the file path has changed.
How do I instruct presentation to find its movies once it has been moved and
they are in different folders? (Edit movie object only indicates the file
path, but does not allow it to be changed)

Double-click goes to "last"
I'm trying to update an object in Powerpoint and when I double click to edit
the text in the box, Powerpoint removes everything I've done today. When I
"undo last" it returns, but this is a VERY annoying feature.
also, when I attempt to print the slide, all of the work done today prints
in gray, while the rest of the slide prints in full black. What's up?...

Multiple Masters Not Showing up in Task Pane

My Data Point and Label are hidden -- why?
I am working with a bubble chart -- all is well, except for one data point.
It is not displayed. It appears in the drop down box as a data point, along
with its label -- I can select it and format it. But it won't display -- nor
will its data label. If I move it to the secondary axis, it displays -- move
it back to primary, and both (point / label) are hidden.

There is no notes pane view button in the bottom left corner of ..
in PPT 2000, there was a notes pane view on the bottom left where the display
or "view" buttons are - it's not there in 2003? Anyone know how to make it

Can anyone explain why PowerPoint Apple version 2003 converts ppt. slides into grap=
hic files (jpg, gif or png) of much better quality than say=E2=80=A6PC versions 2002=

the projector remote
We have a Dell 1100MP Projector and the remote works (volume, menu etc.) but
it will not advance the Powerpoint slides when i hit the "Next Page" button.
The powerpoint was created in Powerpoint 2003. Is there a setting in the
Powerpoint itself that i have to select so that it will advance to the next
page via the remote?

I have a lecture for which I'd like to have two projectors showing different
slides. can anybody help me figure out how to syncronized the two screens?
should i make to powerpoint files for each projector? or can i project to two

Reducing file sizes
I, like several other poster, have trouble with bloated powerpoint files. I
include lots of pictures and regularly get files between 40 and 70M -
sometimes bigger. I use Powepoint 97.
I have tried most of the suggestions so far:
(a) Settings
Turn off Fast Save
Turn off Save Preview Picture
Past images in using Paste Special and jpg files.
Result - minimal space saving.
