I am trying to make a presentation for medical students and would like to
place in the presentation slides depicting several medical conditions. How do

Broken links in powerpoint deck...huge file
Hey Gurus,
I've been searching high and low for a way to get my file
(approximately 400 slides with lots of hyperlinks) to save without
breaking most of my hyperlinks. I came across the following VBA at

How to update locked linked in presentation?

only half of each slide projects, although it shows up on my com.
I use a dell E1505 Laptop, and powerpoint 2003. The right hand side of each
slide will not project on the wall although it shows up fine on the computer.
Everything works fine with this projector when I use my old computer, and
the projector works fine for all other users. Are there settings which I
should change in my computer?

Hyperlinks won't operate on some computers
My presentation has been published on a CD-ROM as a .pps file. It contains
hyperlinks from Slides 3-14 back to "Slide 2". These links work fine on some
computers, but not others. In the latter case, I'm told that when the
presentation is opened for editing, every hyperlink has somehow changed to
read "#0. Slide 0". Is it something I could have avoided when saving the PPS

Having trouble inserting a GIF Image
I've got a GIF image which I developed in Corel PhotoPaint. Nothing fancy, a
small GIF with a transparency.
When I insert this into my PowerPoint presentation, I just get a box with
the red x in the corner (i.e. same box IE uses to indicate that an image
cannot be downloaded). Any idea what the problem might be?

How do I make a callout with multiple pointers?
I am using PowerPoint 2003 (11.6564.6568) SP2. I want to create a callout
box that has "arrows" pointing to each of 3 different locations on the slide.
The purpose is to insert explanatory text about a particular task that I
want to show. I can only find ways to create a single-pointer callout.

change master after inserting slides from outline
Hello,
I have been working on a presentation. Once I inserted slides from a Word
outline, I changed fonts on the master and those font changes weren't
relected on the inserted slides. There is still only one master and all of
the other changes took effect except for the font changes. Any ideas?

Sound File Not Playing
I have inserted an mp3 into the first slide. However, when I try to "Play
Sound" or make it play in the slideshow with custom animation, it doesn't
work at all. I clicked automatically after inserting it so that it would
start by itself.
The sound file itself is playable when I play it from the folder that it is
located in.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!...

So there I was, 5 minutes before the presentation...
My cousin scanned a bunch of old photos in order to make a powerpoint
slideshow for our grandpa's 80th birthday. All the pictures looked fine
in the Power Point design mode, however, when I pressed F5 to start the
show, none of the pictures showed up. Of course, we discovered this 5
minutes before my cousin was supposed to the slide show.

To pause and stop a film
As a beginner in PowerPoint with no relevant information in the help menu I
hope someone can help.
I want to insert a film sequence in my presentation, which is easy enough to
do. The film starts when clicked. Now, I would like the film to stop, also

Skip a Slide
Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a presentation. I want to be able to do the
following:
1. Assuming a 4 slide presentation (1,2,3,4).
2. Go forward from slide 1 to slide 3.
3. Go go forward from slide 3 to slide 4.
4. Go back from slide 3 to slide 2.
I want to be able to do this without clicking on a control via the

Mouse Pointer Disappears
I'm building an electronic business card and using mouse-over macros to
hyperlink to various slides and then back to the main slide. If the user
spends too much time on any one of the hyperlinks (5+ seconds), the mouse
