hyperlink options
I have three different individuals powerpoint presentations and one contains
a slide with a different orientation. I know you can link the slides
together but the hyperlink is blanked out and it doesn't give me the option
to use it....

Format hyperlinks
I want my hyperlinks in a presentation to be invisible. I have changed the
color, but the link is still underlined. Is it possible to remove this
formatting?...

erro message; controls can't be activated, may not be registered?
Trying to run a ppt CD. receiving message that some controls can't be
activated because they may not be registered on this computer. Disc works
fine on other machines....

Perimeter Selection
Hello EV1,
I need to know if there is a way to get the Values
(Left,Top,Bottom,Right) of the Selection Rectangle created by user on a
slide.
My Task is to create a macro who knows to select a shape even if it
isn't completely Covered by the selection, but a part of it.

video wont play but audio will
i deleted everything off my computer and re downloaded everything i had but
the downloaded movies off bitcomet will not play. the screen is black but the
audio is just fine on the movie.what do i do ?

X axis Chart revisions
I am revising some chart slides for a client and when I click on the chart to
make some changes the X axis scale defalts to all the same number and no
matter what I do I can't get the the original numbers scale back (ie 0 10 20
30 40 converts to -392) Why is this happening and how do I deal with it....

Actual text is smaller than Master Slide?
I got a call from a customer the other day. He was setting the text for all
levels in the Master Slide to 32 points.
I tested this with him. For some reason, the text is auto sized to something
smaller in the actual slide presentation. I couldn't find a patter to what
the text is resized to.
I have tried turning off auto fit for title text and body text. That didn't
resolve the probl...

blinking videos
I have recently tested various video formats to see how they run in
powerpoint. I find that although several types can run, the ONLY file
format that runs without "blinking" as it starts are .avi files. I find
that mpeg and wmv files both blink as they start - that is, the first frame
appears (as in the sorter view) then the video blinks as it starts. Has
anyone found anything different? ...

will advance every 3 seconds as setup, but once I start the music the slides

Printing custom sized slides
I'm working with Powerpoint 2003. I have some custom size slides width
12.5 height 6.8. In order to print this file I always have to select
scale to fit. Is there a way to save this setting on this file...so
that no matter who opens it you can just select print..and it will
print "scale to fit" without always having to click it?

Action buttons
I see there is an action button for movies.
When I insert this action button I do not see how to access a movie to insert.
I am sure that I missing something but I have been unable to find any
information on these buttons in the manuals and very poor and limited info in
Help.
Can someone point me in the right direction to learn all of the action
buttons?

Link to PowerPoint presentation
When I open a PowerPoint presentation (which I created) from a hyperlink in
Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, it always opens in slideshow view. When I
physically navigate to it, or open it via an Outlook e-mail link, it opens
fine in edit mode.
This happens on all the machines I've tried. I'm not saving as a slide show.

No black end using Viewer
Two files created in PPT 2003. One links from the other as an option. If
someone opens the optional branch, it's timed. On end, we want it to close
without the black slide and without requiring the user to take any action.
I know how to set this up if PPT is the player, but this show will be

I want to print handouts for a presentation. I want to format the handouts
to have lines next to the slide. Can I do this for 2 slides per page instead

I want a PPT presentation to be in full screen presentation mode, but if

Active Window
I have a PowerPoint show set to start at logon, in scheduled tasks. When the

converting groups to GIFs in situ
I'm in the process of writing a macro to reduce the size of powerpoint
files with embedded and/or linked excel charts.
Thanks to previous contributions to this forum I have the
ungroup.ungroup.regroup conversion of the charts to groups in place.
This reduces the presentation's size by a useful ~50%.
However, if I export as GIFs the charts from the individual excel files

READ BEFORE INSTALLING OFFICE 2007 B2TR
The B2TR patch has some nasty surprises for users in store. The most
important one being that Word 2007 Beta 2 files saved in the new file
