using ppt and vba to open and print from excel
What I want to do is have a button in my ppt presentation that when clicked:
1. opens an existing excel file
2. copies information from text boxes in ppt to excel
3. prints the excel page
4. saves the excel page
5. closes excel
I am currently having problems getting the excel file to open. When I
created a new/blank file I was able to write information to cells and
save the spreadshee...

Open .PPT from IE
When we open .ppt from IE we got the security question if we want to save or
open the file, that’s how we want it to be. But on a few computers we got the
question when we starts the file as it should, but when the user had open the
file and will turn to the next slide in the presentation they got the
question one more time. What could be wrong?

Needs Information regarding Drawing file format in PPT files

How do I make text fade in AND out smoothly
I am using PT 2003 and have several (30) text phrases to apear on a slide,
but one at a time, remain on screen for a while and then fade out. No more
than 3 or 4 text boxes should ever be on screen at a time. I want the fade
out to be as smooth as the fade in. How do I do it in custom animation?...

Opening password protected PPT in VB
I woud like to open password protected PPT from vb6. I found code (see
below) that run in PPT (code is saved as macro and I started macro),
but doesn't work if I place it in VB module. Can anybody help me!

power point can't preview or print slides in color
Hi there. I have work with pp for more than 5 years and this is the first
time I see this. I can't preview and print sllides in color to a color
printer. I selected color features in the print menu, in the view menu and

changing slide from black screen
Am preparing presentation with several slides. I want to blackout certain
slides (by pressing B) and then when ready for the next slide to make it
appear without going back to the previous slide that has been "blacked
out"...how is that done?
At present by pressing enter the old slide appears momentarily before
proceeding to next slide....

password powerpoint? read-only file option doesn't show up!
I've downloaded a powerpoint file on a specific website. When I try to open
it on my laptop a window pops up and is asking me a password without offering
the "read-only" option. There is only "ok" and "cancel" showing up. I don't
know the password. I also tried with the powerpoint viewer but the same
problem.
I did the test on other my parents computers and everything is working fine.

I want a plain slide with color, no design, no line on top.
I can only find slides with designs (although they are subtle). I have no
experience with power point other than watching one being presented. I am
lost as to can I create a slide of a solid color (of my choice) to use with
my presentation. I was given a copy of a presentation that is OK, dark
purple fading to black towards the top, but there is a white line near the

End Custom Show in Powerpoint 2000
I have a custom show with multiple slides. I would like to give the user a
button to end the custom show and go back to the main presentation on any of
the slides. I can accomplish this in PP 2003 by setting an action button to
"End Show." However, 2000 ends the entire presentation when I use that
command. Is there a workaround for this type of thing?

Activating the right presentation in VBA

I need to open several PPT presentations and then activate each one in turn.
I tried:

But the file opening order and the order of files shown in Windows any times

How do I install Microsoft Organisation Chart Server application.
When I try to alter an organisation chart on a slide in a presentation I get
the message "The Microsoft Organisation Chart server application cannot be
found. Contact your system administrator to install this server
application". How do I find it and how do I install it? I am using
PowerPoint 2003 and I need this information so I can do practice ECDL test

Can I animate one word in a paragraph?
I am trying to emphasis one word in a paragraph, but PowerPoint emphasises

power point sound
I have a CD with a 2003 PPT program with wav sound. it works in my computer
but not in another computer. I can play a music CD from the same computer and
get sound, but it wont play the sound from my slide presentation. The slide
presentation works great.
We both have Windows XP and the PPT viewer.
Any suggestions?...

PowerPoint 2003 & 2000
I have a Presentation that was written in PowerPoint 2003 and contains Custom
Animations. When I save the presnetation down to allow earlier versions of
PowerPoint to view and use it the Custom Animations are not available. The
Custom Animations are configurable and available when the PowerPoint is
viewed and edited in 2003 but not in 2000. Please email replies to

How do I rewind an antire slides animations after other slides?
I'm making a kiosk presentation for work. It has a navigation bar that can
take me slide to slide. Each slide has animations on it. How can I make all
the slides rewind (not during the slide, but) when the slide is revisited. I

how to keep baseline of slide titles fixed?
I have a problem when i change the font size of the slide's title.
In the original font size (as defined by the template), the baseline of
the title text matches with some other stuff on the slide just fine.
However, when i change the size of the slide title text, then the
baseline of that text moves a little bit towards the top.

lost animation when inserting presentation
I was given 8 PPT2003 presentations to combine. Presentation #6 and #8 were
the only two that used animation in text builds. I used "insert Slides from
file" to combine all of them, checking the "keep original formating" box,
using Presentation #1 as the basis - adding each presentation in order until
they were combined. When I looked at the result, all of the animation was
