Powerpoint should be able to use optional slides
I am currently a college student majoring in education. As an education
major, I have used Powerpoint multiple times in the past. The program does
present a challenge for educators in my opinion though. Often a student is
not able to understand a concept with just one example, while other times a
student is able to.

Powerpoint Issues Please Help
I am working on updating a power point presentation. I have created 5
different slides that each contain different graphics and words pasted in
them. Each time I change a graphic it changes it in all five slides. It
doen't do it right away. I will paste and save and everything is fine and
then a few minutes later I will check and all the graphics will be the same
again.

Need to convert PowerPoint to video (DVD)
Hi. I'm sorry if this is a re-post, but my first one never seemed to go
through. I haven't been on this message board for awhile.
What's the best way to convert powerpoint to file that can be incorporated
into a film/video/digital media on dvd etc? do I need 3rd party software
and if so, what do you recommend?

i am a high school math teacher.
will powerpoint allow me to create 4-quadrant graphs in the X-Y (cartesian)
coordinate system?
for instance, can i graph the equation of the line y = 3x - 5 in powerpoint?

Importing font from PowerPoint into Producer issue
My PowerPoint font is Verdana, but is displayed as Times New Roman when

unexpected moving text boxes
Why do my text boxes, on occasion, move locations during presentation. Is
there a way to lock the position so they won't move. These are my slide
headings and are not animated. I consider myself an expert at powerpoint and
cannot isolate the problem. Also sometimes the text will be partially covered
up or text is missing during presentation view. Please help....

Getting a Slideshow to Run
When launching ANY ppt, it launches within Powerpoint 2003, SP2 fine. But
when trying to run any powerpoint presentation as a slideshow, it just shows
minimized on the taskbar. It is nowhere to be found on the screen and I am
unable to right-click and get any menu to maximize, etc. I have tried
renaming it as a .pps, no change. Any suggestions?

Drawn Box Charts
Hi, I am in an office setting that uses embedded Excel Charts in PowerPoint.
Recently, a contractor has joined and replaces the existing charts with drawn
charts made from boxes or a line with Edit points.
My question is, how do I learn to add this type of skill to my arsenal of

I have multiple text boxes on a slide. I want to enlarge one of the text
boxes at a time - which allows the audience to focus on the specific text and

Producer Uses
It appears Producer only creates very ugly web pages and is not useful for
creating video for playback in windows media player from a broadcast server.
You should discontinue this product and work on a real video editor.
Is there a product like producer for editing that creates actual streaming
video files in mpg or wmv or asf ?

Design Prints Differently in PPT 2000 Versus 2003
I have created a PPT presentation in PPT 2003. I have a design template that
consists of three master slides. For the sake of convenience, my master
slides are "Title," "SubTitle," and "Content."
If I print any of those slides from PPT 2003, they are fine. However, when

Mac PowerPoint & SWF Import Woes
I'm having a problem w/ PowerPoint on a Mac while importing SWF files.
On two different Macs (running OSX 10.4, if that matters) and two different
version of PowerPoint (version X and I believe 2004), I try and import an SWF
file using the "From File" option for importing a movie, but I get an error
that says "This file is not in a recognized movie format."

I would like to know whether the format of H.264 &MPEG4 created from Apple's
Quicktime Pro v7.x and .FLA & .SWF created from Adobe's Flash 8 Standard &

Circle of Arrows
I would like to create a circle of block arrows to represent a cycle. If
possible, I'd also like to put some text between each arrow to name each
point in the cycle. None of the canned arrows seem to do this without
extreme customization. I've seen a circle of arrows in Visio where you can
specify 3-5 arrows but I haven't been able to find anything like it for
Powerpoint....

Quark to pdf to jpeg into PowerPoint
I am saving a Quark file as a pdf and then saving the pdf as jpegs to
be imported into PowerPoint as a photo album. Because the jpegs are too
large for PP, I have selected the "fit to slide" feature under Album
Layout. They now come in with a black frame on the left and right
sides. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

Command buttons
