MPEG file that plays on projecter, but not PC screen?
The powerpoint presentation plays perfect except for one of my movie clips.
I can see the presentation on both the laptop and the wall projector. I can
see everything on both except for one of the MPEG files. It only shows up on
the wall projector. The movie frame on Powerpoint remains white. Any ideas?...

Sound difficulties
I just got a new computer- so I am both cheering and groaning at the same
time.
Here's my problem- I have inserted sound files into PowerPoint countless
times, and never had a problem- until now. I am able to insert the actual
file by going into Insert-Movies and Sounds- Sound from file. When I try to
play the file, either by putting the slides into show mode, or by double

Converting
Anyone have or know of a program that will allow you to convert your PPT file

Creating Powerpoint doc that will automatically update from Excel
We have an excel document (with multiple worksheets and charts) that needs to
be used within a PowerPoint presentation. Many of the worksheets need to be
displayed on a page within the presentation. If the worksheets update, the
presentation needs to update.
Can someone direct me to information on how to set up such a file?

I have applied a master slide to an entire presentation. I want to have one
or more slide that are blank - no design or anything on them - so that I can

Charts x axis defalts Need HELP
I am revising some chart slides for a client and when I click on the chart to
make some changes the X axis scale defalts to all the same number and no
matter what I do I can't get the the original numbers scale back (ie 0 10 20
30 40 converts to -392 -392 -392) Why is this happening and how do I deal
with it.

I copied a chart from Excel and pasted it into PowerPoint. I would like to
animate part of the chart (some text) but I haven't been able to find a way
to do it. Any suggestions?

Automate PowerPoint from Access
I found some code that advises how to view a PPT briefing from within Access
on the MSDN web site, pretty cool.
I've got a series of briefings that contain basically the same slides, but
in different orders. Unfortunately, I have not figured out how to "Name"
each slide so that I can refer to it by a name rather than by the slide
number. Is there a way to do this?

format font with Text Effects
Hi and thanks for the help. I am using PowerPoint 2003.
In Word there is a feature with font that allows for text effects like
shimmer and sparkle text.
I thought I saw that in PowerPoint as well but now I can't find it. What can

Copying Cells Without Change.
I have a colum of cells that look like:
In column F
row 4: =c1
row 5: =c2
row 6: =c3
I want to copy them to row 10 of F. They end up as
row 10: =c10
row 11: =c11
row 12: =c12
I want them to be copies as =c1, =c2, =c3
How do I do that?

Video Problems
I inserted a video clip into a powerpoint presentation, and can see the clip
play correctly on my laptop, but when I use a projector the video clips are
black through projector and play on laptop. everything else works on

Cannot adjust gradient transparency in table
Hi,
I have some slide-shows that I am formatting for work, and for a few
presentations, I cannot adjust the transparency on gradient fills in
tables . The "semi-transparent" option isn't selectable, and the
transparency sliders on the "fill effects" page are greyed out.
I know it can be done, because I have done so on other presentations.
Can anyone pont me in the right direction?

Motion Paths
I am working with motion paths and with the help of some of the MVP's on this
forum have made major progress. However, I have a situation where I am
tracing stops on a map. I start at point "A" and go to "Z" with stops at B,
C, D, E, F....Etc.
Problem I am running into is between some points there may be 2 or 3 inches
of space. Trying to select the motion path, or stopping point, or a ...

broadcast
Hi I have created a powerpoint show with a linked audio file that plays the
narration from beginning to end of the show. Timings are all set. It plays
well in show mode. However, when I try to record for broadcast none of the
audio of the linked file is recorded in the broadcast. Is there away that
linked audio can be broadcast? What maybe am I doing wrong here?...

disable events in powerpoint
Hello.
I am developing a shared add-in that works for word, powerpoint, excel
and outlook. I am using c#
I need to disable all events for a short amount of time in my add-in.
In Excel I coud do this by using the application.enableEvent = false. I
then enabled the events again with application.enableEvent = true after
doing what I had to do without events. That worked perfectly!

Half Bullet Points
I am new to PowerPoint 2003. Some times when I use a bullet point in
conjunction with word wrap I end up with only the right half of the bullet
point. The left half is gone. It does not seem to be consistant.
I can correct the problem by hitting enter at the end of each line, instead
of using word wrap. What gives?...
