I have a powerpoint presentation I want to load on a CD and then when
inserted into the computer this powerpoint presentation begins. Also, I have
3 word documents that need to be viewed. Can they be linked to the
powerpoint?...

How do I get words to appear on top of a movie?
I would like to play a loop in the background and have general instructions'
playing before my presentation begins. However, when the movie starts my
words go to the back and can't be seen.

File extensions
I have received an email with an attachment that I am unable to open, a
message tells me that the file does not have a programme associated with it.
The file has an extension ''pps'' which I believe is connected to Power Point.
what is the programmme I need to allow me to open this file attachment ?

Why is my slideshow the size of the Grand Canyon
I have been trying to create a slideshow with music to email to friends.
After converting MP3 to Wav format, the size of the music file itself jumps
from approx. 4MB to over 37MB. How can i get around this? Any help would be
appreciated....

Slides to High Res image.
I'm looking for a way to convert slides into high res images. Saving it as a
TIFF format is the best i've found so far, but when displaying that on a
1600x1200 43" widesceen videowall, the font looks choppy in places, and some
text is hard to read.
is there an addin or 3rd party software that would be of use to me?...

Insert PDF As Object
Greetings all.
Windows xp, PP 97
I have a user that is trying to insert a PDF as an object. On my
machine, I follow these steps:
Insert, Object, From File
Browse for the PDF and Insert
Works fine. Of course, on his machine, it does not insert the object,
it inserts the filename. I cannot see any differences in his settings
vs. mine.
Ideas?

Slides saving font color
I have a user who wants to change the font color. Everytime she changes it
and saves the document then closes the document and goes back in the change
did not save.
This is the only change that does not save.

Unwanted hanging indents when emailing PowerPoint file
My colleague emailed a PowerPoint presentation to me, and all the paragraphs
had hanging indents (first line outdented from rest of paragraph). However,
his original file was all left-aligned, with no indenting.
How do we ensure the emailed version will match the original? I tried
opening the email on two separate computers, both had the same issue.

How to VBA to next slide in PP work area?
I've recorded a VBA macro that does a few things to a placeholder on a slide
in the PP work area. The macro works fine. I want to use this macro on more
than one slide, however. Unfortunetly, the VBA macro recorder will not
record a PAGE-DOWN key or a next-slide mouse click. Is there a VBA "next
slide" statement that I can insert into the VBA macro myself? I'd appreciate
any help.

Is there an intro to Powerpoint download (for dummies)
A while ago I downloaded a word document for Frontpage and it had really
clear info about how to use it....kind of like a Frontpage for dummies. I'm
trying to find the same thing for Powerpoint. Just a word doc that can be
kept at people's desks like a reference document. Can someone send me the

i'd like to be able to press a key (maybe ctrl-r) during a slide show
and it'll run a macro
been searching high and low for a way to do this and beginning to be
convinced that it's not possible.

Adding Issue numbers to a PPT slide
I need to allow people to add an issue number to slide that contains a
screenshoot.
Basically i need to allow the use to number different issues on a
screenshot really easily. If this can be somehow automated it would be
excellent.

sound embedding not working
I'm trying to embed an mp3 in a presentation to play across all slides
and save it as a PPS file. This is the 2007 Beta 2. Even when
increasing that size setting from 100KB to 50000KB, the sound is not
embedding. Is there something I'm missing here? Does the file have to
be in WAV format in order to embed or something??

Playing Divx video in Powerpoint
I've been playing Divx video files in my Powerpoint presentations for many
years: Now I can't no more!!!

Page numbers show up in two locations of printed presentation
For some reason, two sets of page numbers show up on the printed version of
my presentation.
The presentation and the template used to create this presentation only has
one page number field that is located on the bottom right corner of the
slide. When printing, a second set of page numbers in the format of "PAGE #"
shows up at the bottom of the slide towards the center.

Slides created with PowerPoint2000 disappear in PP2003
Some slides created with PowerPoint 2000 disappear when file is opened in
Powerpoint2003. The are replaced by empty slides. If this file is saved with
PP2003 they disappear permanently, but the file size indicates some contents....

Smooth PowerPoint Animations?
I am interested in a mobile graphics solution that complex animations in MS
PowerPoint will take advantage of. I recently bought a brand new HP dv9000t
