Beta TR - Is it installed?
I went to the website and downloaded the latest version of Beta 2. I
uninstalled the version of Beta 2 I had and reinstalled with the new file.
Now I'd like to make sure that what I installed is, indeed, OneNote B2TR.
When I go to help -> about OneNote, I see version 12.4017.1003. Is this
correct for B2TR?

OneNote does not have a clear backup option - why?
When I attempt to save a backup copy of the project file I'm working on in
OneNote, I have been unable to come up with a straightforward way to do it.

ON B2TR - Icon Links and WDS
From the testing I have done so far it doesn't look as if you can search
for text within documents that are embedded within OneNote via an Icon-
Link.
I created a text file with a unique word in it and placed it on my
desktop. I waited for WDS to finish indexing then looked for the word and
it found it. Then I embedded that same text file within OneNote and
searched for it within OneN...

OneNote 2007 and Daily Journal Plugin
I have come to rely on the Daily Journal Plugin with OneNote 2003. The
beta version of OneNote 2007 doesn't work with this plugin. Does anyone
know if there is a work-around or will a new version be coming that will
work with OneNote 2007. Thanks for your help......

Will OneNote Do This For Me
I am a teacher. I make notes on a seating chart during conferences. My
seating chart is typed on a sheet of labels. Each child has a label. At the
end of the week when I have conferenced with every student, I peel off the
label for each child and place it on their individual conference sheets. We
are required to keep conference notes on each child.
What I envision is a seating chart...

How embedded files now work in OneNote B2TR (and will in RTM)
I see there have been some interesting threads on embedded files, and
apologize for my absence in responding to them. Rather than replying on what
became a very deep thread, I thought I'd start a new one with a clear
explanation of how things work.

Problem with multi-lingual fonts
I have encountered a strange problem. I have set up my XP to utilize
multiple languages, some of which require script fonts. My keyboard
installations are as they should be. In Word 2003, when I switch to the
other languages, I can type perfectly without any problem. However, when I
am using OneNote 2003, it selects a different font.

Communication Log
Would I use OneNote to set up a communication log on our company's intranet
site? I basically want a simple page where staff can go to, to write
communication notes. I need to be able to add to the existing notes.... so
that each person can see what the other staff has written, without having to
go to a different page. Basically, it would be one, continous, long page!

Duplicate results in when I "Show all tagged notes"
When i "Show all tagged notes" in the task pane i get multiple instances of
the same flagged note coming up, sometimes up to 4 instances of each tagged

Incomplete Note Flag Summary
I'm using the beta of ON 2007. After running the Note Flag Summary not all
of the assigned flags are displayed. I use a flag named "Waiting for" fairly
often yet it doesn't display in the summary after running it.
Thoughts on how to correct this?

OneNote will not open.
I opened up my laptop from its standby mode earlier today, and the program
would simply not open. I can see the window in the task menu, and clicking on
it puts the windows on the screen in grayish color, indicating they are out
of focus and that Onenote should now be on the screen, but it never comes up.
I tried restarting and reinstalling Onenote (even though I didn't try to
complete...

Onenote 2007 Search
Hello Everyone,
I have Onenote 2007 installed with the Beta version 3 of the Windows
Desktop Search. I uninstalled WDS to downgrade to 2 in hopes of
getting desktop search and hopefully having onenote 2007 search as
well. I learned that it couldn't be done so instead I uninstalled 2
and went back to 3.0. It seemed to install fine, but for the life of
me for days now I cannot get onenote...

ON2007 (build 4017) drawing tools unavailable
Recently, I noticed that the double arrow and axes tools (the two tools on
the drawing toolbar with drop down selections) were greyed out and
unavailable.
I could only get them back by resetting the drawing toolbar.
So, in case you can't get some of the toolbar items to work, try resetting it.

Problems after B2TBR
After updating to the TBR last week, i am now unable to open Onenote. I have
all the new logos at launch, but it opens a "No Notebook Opened" screen and
after a second or two i get an error stating that Onenote has not been
installed for the current user. Please run setup to install the application.
Click OK and Onenote closes. If i double click on a notebook i get the same
error.

Handwriting recognition in different languages in Onenote
Hi,
Can you tell me if there is anyway to change the language on a perpage basis
for the indexing of handwritten text as I write documents in both english and
german and it would be useful if I could accurately search both within
onenote on my tablet pc? If not is it possible this feature could be added in
the future?
I'm currently using Onenote 2007 Beta 2 TR.

Locking Pen Utilities to Text
Ok, when taking notes in class it is useful to use the highlighting function,
as well as drawings, etc, mixed with the text functions. However, when i
press enter/insert text from websites, it throws off the posistioning of any
hand written notes/ drawings, etc. How can i have the drawings and such, move

undelete files
I'll try to describe my problem briefly . . .
I am traveling and using a laptop (M400) that is not my primary laptop (M4).
To have access to my everyday files, I've got my primary laptop's (M4) hard
drive in the opitcal drive (in a case made for it - to extend the drive).
I've been using OneNote all week . . . at some point I copied the My
Notebook folder from the M4 drive to the M400...

copy/past columns from word to onenote missing
I take my 2 columns that looks fine in word and copy past or highlight all
and drag and drop into Onenote. The columns disapare. There doesnt seem to
be a way to turn it into the 2 columns with such ease as in word.
using a table would take forever in a 150 page doc.
Any suggestions?...
