Combining sections in OneNote
Hello,
I'm trying to use OneNote as a data share for my team, which is placed in a
folder on our team share site. The issue is that for each OneNote section I
create, I have to save it separately to the share. To use it, each
workstation has to bring up the individual OneNote section icons. What I
want to do is combine the icons in to one and be able to add new sections and

shortcut for font size
Hello,
I always need to decrease or increase the font size of sentences in a
document when I am writing.
And while hands are on the keyboard, I dont feel like using the mouse.
Hence I am trying to find a key combination to decrease/inc the font size.
For instance through the - and + signs.
So far I could not manage to find such a combination or could not figure out
how to setup this.

Allow setting OneNote as Desktop Background with Persistent Notes
Is it possible to set OneNote as my desktop background such that I can cut
and paste contend, makes quick notes etc. to my desktop background making it
an always present, always persistent workspace? If not can this be
considered a feature request.

When I try sending an e-mail with beta nothing happens. This worked properly

Beta 2 select highlight problem
I have OneNote Beta 2. The highlight for the basic edit selection tool is so
dim to be practically invisible. Any solution for this? I've checked my
monitor settings, I've rebooted, and selection hilighting works fine on all
other applications....

align type to rule lines
When typing notes in OneNote, is there a way to get the type to line up on
the rule lines? I have tried changing the spacing between lines in a list,
but this is trial and error and still does not line up the type with the rule
lines. Thanks....

Highlighting text
When a text is highlighted it is not tied to text, nor the container.
What can one do to avoid that the highlight remains after having moved
the text or the container?

Can I automatically set all pictures to be enabled for text search
When I import a picture (I am using my scanner), the picture is not
automatically enabled for searching. I have to select the popup menu and
select enable for English. Is there a setting to have this scanning
automatcally done?

Inserting Docs on OneNote 2007
I am having difficulties inserting documents, excel and word, with OneNote.
The 2007 (Beta 2) version no longer gives the "insert file as picture" it
gives the "insert files as printouts" command. Everytime I attempt this
command the program gives me a printer error. Any suggestions or remedies?...

Is it worth it?
Those who have gotten ON 2007 beta working, complete with Instant Search:
Was it worth the hassle? When you weigh the increased functionality
against the problems with installation, etc. and against whatever
anxieties the beta version induces when you contemplate future work, would
you do it again? I'm trying to decide whether the effort I'm putting into
getting ON 2007 is productiv...

Surrender
Windows Desktop Search 3 beta won. I reverted to OneNote 2003. The problem
on my system, as best I could determine, is that the indexing stalls in
pause mode. Even setting priority to High and exiting all background
applications has no effect. I'm tempted to guess that it is encountering
something to index that it is unable to digest. I hope that in a few weeks
MS will have a new ve...

Side Note Anomaly
Here's something a little strange. I posted about how ON 2007 took seven
seconds to open a side note. When I reinstalled OneNote 2003, it took less
than two seconds. Now I have once again installed ON 2007 (wouldn't you
know it), and it takes consistently only four seconds. Nothing much else
has changed on my system.

ON2007B2: "Flip through pages" broken?
In the "General" Section I read:
"Flip through pages To quickly review your pages by flipping through them
like in a paper notebook, click a page tab, and then hold down the mouse
button while you move over the other page tabs. Each page is displayed for as
long as you hold the mouse pointer over its corresponding page tab. "

PDF export
The PDF export suffers seriously.
Before I go deeper into this:
Will this feature still be in the Final?
I think remember that recently it was reported that the negotiations
between MS and Adobe failed and that MS would not include PDF creation
in Office 2007.
Will there be a chance to see something like the Acrobat "PDF Maker"
macros in the Office applications as we have them now?

Desktop Search is a memory hog
Installed OneNote beta (love it!) and Windows Desktop search v3 as requested.
However, it consumes 100MB!! of memory and it's only indexing the OneNote
directories. If I start/stop the 'Windows Search Service' I can watch my
memory consumption go up & down 100MB. Not everyone has a fully-loaded laptop
with several gigs of memory. If MS wants this to run on tablets, they'll need
to contro...

Page Setup & Page Title questions/comments
1. Is there a way to set a default Paper Size and Print Margins (rather than
have every new page setup default to "auto")? My only workaround thus far is
to set a page up to my liking, then create subpages thereafter; they match
the parent page's size, etc.

Why is one of my sections in ON2003 stuck in "Read-Only" mode!?
One of my sections in my notebook in ON2003SP2 is stuck in read-only mode for
the past hour or so. I tried closing and re-opening ON, I checked the file
access rights... all to no avail.

Conquering WDS 3 beta
I finally got the bright idea to actually watch the indexing process in
the Index Options control panel. When I avoided using my computer it would
start working for a couple minutes and then maybe stop for another few. It
seems to be oversensitive, trying to avoid interfering with the user but
then not getting its job done. (But then this contrasts with reports that
WDS can consume ...

How to print to onenote
I just reinstalled my whole computer, now the option to print to onenote is
gone, it doesn't show up as a printer in the add new printer area. I've
updated everything to the current version I think what am i missing i used to
be able to print before reinstalling wha tam i missing?...
