2007 Beta 2-Corrupt Section .one File During Notebook Sync
I was synching a notebook from my tablet to my laptop when I received a sync
error. The notebook has synched successfully several times since I set it
up. I had disconnected the tablet from the network today, added material to
two section in the notebook, and then re-connected to the network, at which
point I received this error.

onenote 2003: only allows 1 parent folder?
In setting up OneNote I'm thinking more than one parent folders would allow
for easier organization.
Does OneNote 2003 allow that, or do I just create new sections in the
original parent folder?
(Some users may suggest I upgrade to 2007, but that's not what I want to do
right now, although it may happen down the road.)

page tabs on the side of the page.
Page and sub-page tabs on side have turned into small numbered tabs.
The tab size is no longer adjustable either.
How do I make the tabs show the page title as they did before?...

Try Search! (And link to troubleshooting)
I would like to encourage you to try out OneNote Instant Search! Try regular
and phrase (quoted) searches. Please install OneNote 2007 Beta 2 TR, because
many issues that people have experienced in Beta 2 have been fixed.
Note that OneNote will find your notes even if they have not been indexed
yet, because it always scans directly through any non-indexed items. So your

Can Wacom Volito 2 Tablet & Pen work with OneNote? And how?
MS says in the online tutorial that OneNote works only with Tablet PC.
But I want to use OneNote on my laptop with a usb tablet&pen. Before buying
it, I want know whether they work with each other.

Why is an already installed microsoft one note read-only?
ive just bought a toshiba laptop and microsoft onenote was already on it. ive
had to actuvate the program so why does it keep saying its only read-only and

How do I download the Safety Bar for Outlook Express?
PayPal says there is a "SafetyBar" for Outlook Express that can be

OneNote 2007 Beta 2 - Send to Microsoft OneNote Configuration Ques
I have OneNote 2007 Beta 2 installed on an XP tablet. I had installed ON2003
first, and I never had the PowerToy on it.
I'm trying to configure the ON2007 driver as I have a Send to OneNote 2003
Powertoy driver configured on another computer & don't know how to do it with

search function on 2007
I have noticed in the demo on ON2007 that
ON searches on writings in picture files with optical caharacter reading
technology.
Well this will be a deligthed feature for me but I was wondering how fast
and reliable
is ON2007 at it?
Can it search fast as it searches a usual text?

OneNote 2007 will not install
1. Did clean install of Vista RC1(Norton issues)
2. Install office 2007 beta
3. Install Office B2TR
4. Attempted to install OneNote 2007...no go...graphics error etc.(can
install 2003 but the 07 does not recog. as an upgrade)

creating a new customised page woth keyboard shorcut
Is inserting a new customised page with a keyboard shorcut possible in
ON2003?
Like pressing shift + ctrl + N creates a new subpage under the page where
the shortcut key combination is
performed...
Currently, I insert a page, them choose my customisation to change the
layout and then
I have to move it to up and down trough other pages to locate it where I
like.

note containers
Whenever I am taking hand written notes the program constantly is selecting
sections of notes that are nearby, this causes me to accidentally move the
selected text when I move the pen. I have to tap the pen in a different
location to get it to unselect so that I can keep writing. I am not sure
what is going on but it makes note taking a real pain.

Search Audio Notes
I can't seem to figure out how to get OneNote 2007 Beta2TR to search my
audio notes.
I've set the recording quality to that detailed by Chris Pratley and
set the checkbox under Options..Audio/Video to enable the Audio search
and still nothing.
Any ideas of what I am missing?

Newbie - what am I doing wrong???
I I am trying to create a shared notebook on a sharepoint website. I create
the notebook on my laptop (multiple users) and provide the correct location
on the sharepoint website. As long as I am working, the notebook syncs
correctly and I can go online and find the exact tabs, etc. on the website.

Resize OneNote text
All the text in my OneNote tabs suddenly shrank in size to unreadablility.
How do I resize it all? (I may have done something strange with the mouse
wheel, but I'm not sure.) It happened simultaneously to all text in all tabs.
Widening the "bock" in which the text exists does not increase the size of
the text....

customized tags - multiple computers
I have set up a bunch of customized tags on one computer. I would like those
tags to show up in ON on the other two computers I use. is there a way to do
that?
(I am using XP. I have to use FolderShare to sync my notebooks because of a
workplace firewall/tunnel issue, if that makes any difference.)

Clipping content loses formatting
When I clip to ON (from Firefox, using the Firefox extension), I am losing
the basic formatting. There are no longer indent-tabs at the beginning of
paragraphs and there are no blank lines between paragraphs, so text is
basically run together. Is there a way to fix this?

Send Receive Freezes
I have a .178GC personal.pst file and I have many gigs available on my HD. I
get to the point when Outlook rebuilds itself and then does a send/receive it
just freezes at the 1st mail drop. I get a "Not Responding" error on both
after I click on it to see if it is still continuing to download mail.
I have tried reinstalling office, did not help, what do I need to do next in

After TR2 didn't open my existing notes
I installed TR2 and launched OneNote. Much to my surprise my existing
notebooks were not opened. The new version assumed that they were located in
the default location and mine weren't. Looks like the upgrade didn't pick up
the settings from the old install. Once I did an open and selected the

one note synchronization
Will there be a way for me to share notebooks with a PC that cannot connect
to the network. Such as a flash key or other media. My current tablet pc
which I use for notes in meetings cannot access the network because it is not
approved by my network administrator. With Onenote 2003 I have to manually
synchronize/copy files which doesn't work if I change more than one version
of onenot...
