Scanning accurately to Word
When I scan a document, e.g. a letter and convert it to word the product is
distorted, misshapen. All of the data is there, but not in the original
shape and proportion. Why?...

Vista Search wont find OneNote
I can search all notebooks open in OneNote application.
I can not find any OneNote items using the Vista Search. I was hoping
to have one search to find all my data.
I have left the computer on overnight to ensure the index is completed
and since I can do fast searches in OneNote the index must be built.
When I go into the Control Panel of Vista and select indexing options I

Startup minimized
How do I stop it from opening a window when the computer starts up. I still

Hi all,
Is there anywhere I could post beta feedback, bugs etc.? If it's a
beta, I'd like to help! Specifically:
Bug: When I'm using "Print/Send to Microsoft OneNote" from PDF and then

Bloated file
Inspecting the directory with the ON files, I stumbled over a 42MB
file for the "Unfiled Notes" (sorry, my translation might be bad;
might anyone pls let me know the correct English naming?)).
I checked the content. There were just 2 pages.
I moved them to a notebook with Cut+Paste.
After closing ON, the file remained with the same size.

Saving a Hardcopy
Is there anyway to save OneNote pages in a format that can be saved and used
for emergencies, ie in case of system failure? I am looking at options like:
1) an easy way to print a hard copy of an Entire OnenOte notebook, not a
sytem where I have to print it out page-by-page.
2) a way to save/export a whole notebook as a word, html or PDF file.

ON 2007 - Windows DesktopSearch
I installed ON 2007 on my desktop and after having been told that it
would need the Windows DesktopSearch software, I download and
installed it. Everything is fine.
After over-installing ON 2007 over ON 2003 on my TabletPC (HP/COMPAQ
tc1100 running under XP SP2 TabletPC edition with *all* updates) I got
the same messagebox, clicked on the download link and installed the
DesktopSearch....

Different entries in "Save as .." list
Dropdown list in the "Save as .." dialog:
1.) On my desktop in the list for the type of file there is
"Website in one file (publish copy) (*.mht)"
2.) On my TabletPC the second bracket with "(*.mht) is missing.

Effect of initial notebook size on indexing problems
Are you better off with small notebooks or large notebooks initially, as
far as avoiding indexing problems, in particular, the spontaneous
cessation of indexing. I understand the cause of this problem is a failure
to recognize notebooks as being unindexed. Is it the case, I wonder, that

Printing a Powerpoint in OneNote
I am in school and I send my ppts to onenote, but when I print them, the
pages from ppt (slides) are NOT nicely aligned with the page on the print out.
Is there a way to adjust the pages in oneNote? or is there an update?
In Windows Journal, this is possible, there are distinct pages, but OneNote
is a better program overall.

OneNote 2007 experience after a couple of hours
Generally positive
Love the new features, especially drag and drop of sections, pages and tables
Some glitches:-
Takes a long time for notebooks to be searchable due to indexing taking time
to index OneNote 2007. Perhaps this should be pointed out in notes with the
download, otherwise new users might think there's something wrong with the
application.

Images don't print from pages saved in Word format
I have been using SnagIt to capture images from the screen and paste into
OneNote alongside text that describes the images. I have then been saving
these pages into MS Word format (File > Save As > Microsoft Word Document)
for use in a user manual. The problem I'm having is that when I print the

Funny, isn't it? Not really!
How a simple question of whether to install the power toy IE to ON while on
line or off line gets ignored for days ... and other more complicated posts
that are not even related to being able to run the program are addressed

No Ink in OneNote Mobile 2007 ? What a joke.
It's a farce to think that a pocketpc app shouldn't have INK.
OneNote Mobile is a smart phone app obviously and the lack of ink
underlines that.

shared session issue
I'm having a problem creating a shared session with a colleague. The
issue seems to be the internet address. We both connect to the internet
from different places through routers. When OneNote shows me the
address to enter, is shows the internal network address which of course
is not applicable in my case. Any ideas how to enter the correct
address?
