href-element
Hi,
In my webapplication (based on java) I can upload xsn-files. The files are
stored in a folder whcih I can
access via http. To fill out a form the server sends the xml-file to the
client. Before sending back
the xml, I replace the href-attribute with the url of the xsn-file (e.g.
http://myserver/templ/test.xsn)
To store the form I submit the content via http-post to my server.
My ...

Database option not showing in Submitting Forms dialog box
I am trying to create a form using Infopath that will submit data to a
database, however the database option isn't showing in the Submitting Forms
dialog box. According to previous posts in the forum, it is either because I
am using a field such as Memo or Hyperlink, or else I need to test the SQL
Statement (Dean). I don't have any long field types and I tested the SQL
Statement, but sti...

How to secure a form
Hello all, I created some forms in Infopath. My question: is there a
way to secure the forms, I know you can publish the form so the users
can fill them out. But you can still click under Tools>Design this
form; and be able to customize and do whatever you want with the form.
So, is there a way to not allow this to happend, in other words I just
want the users to fill out the form and send...

i have a field, called "Popularity," that increments whenever the form is

my first reaction was to go to:

but the option to save is not under the open behavior rules (nor is the

Inherited types in XSD
I'm attempting to build a InfoPath form against a Web Service and the big key
difficulty I'm having is that the return type is a base type with many
derived classes that could be returned based upon parameters to the service.
The InfoPath schema provides the base type alone and doesn't appear to let me
override it with a derived type. Is there some way I'm missing to use the
derived ty...

Looking for basic info on queries
I think I'm mising something blindingly obvious, but how does one query data
from a database (SQL) using InfoPath? I understand the basics of databases
and can quite happily create queries, I just don't see how to link them to
the forms I design. The help files aren't helpful, they just keep telling me
I can do it (but not how) and all I can find here are more advanced
questions. Is ther...

Considering Infopath
I am currently considering purchasing InfoPath, to enable me to send out
questionnaires, work request forms or budgeting information within our
Company. I have two questions:
1. Does the end-user need to have InfoPath to fill the forms in and return
the data back to me?
2. Can data from multiple forms be gathered and analysed in, say Excel? If
so, how does this work - e.g. does it us...

part. The tricky part (I think) is in automatically checking answers and

InfoPath support for .ASHX files
Hi,
I'm using BizTalk 2006 having WSE 3.0 (twoConnect) Adapter for exposing
Orchestration as a WebService.
I'm trying to create an InfoPath form to send some values to the
Orchestration Web Service. However as WSE3.0 is generating .ASHX file
instead
of .ASMX file. InfoPath (it seems like it) is only supporting .ASMX
files
only if we are designing the form based on Web Services. "In...
