Collect file name
Hi,
When saving an existing form I would like to put the forms file name
in a text box in the form. Is this possible?
Otherwise I can set the text box's content when opening a saved form.
When I submit the form to a SharePoint library I set the file name to be
Today().

Insert an image into an InfoPath form header
As someone commented in a Nov 2005 post, InfoPath by default does not
allow images in headers. Here's a workaround:
1. Tools > Options > General > Check "Print background colors and
background pictures" on
2. File > Page Setup > Margins > Top = .25" (or whatever works for
your printer)
3. View > Header and Footer > General > Check "Use a background
picture" ...

limits to form size or file size?
I'm evaluating InfoPath and so far it looks like it will work for us, but in
our "old" system (using MS Word) we had docs (that were built off of
templates) that could be 150 pages or more. My question is...is there a limit
to how large a form (or the file) can be? I'm also completely frustrated with
the lack of documentation on this product - anyone know of good books?...

predefine Outlook subject line from InfoPath form
Here is the info obtained from MS site - how do I set this up?
E-mail submission You can design a form so that users can click Submit on
the File menu to send their completed form as an attachment in an e-mail
message. The e-mail addresses, subject line, and file name of the attachment
can all be predefined—either with static values or values based on entries in
the form. ...

Versioned form template
As I am not sure on the terminology, here my assumptions:
xsn: compressed form template
xsf: manifest for uncompressed form template
xml: Infopath form
I am using Infopath 2007. For our solution, it is necessary to have the
form template in a version control system (subversion).
I found the great option of saving as source files (File > "Save As

Losing Data
I have an infopath form where I have created the data controls (no database).
The people fill out the form and then forward it via email. The preview
shows the data in the repeating table area. It seems to work fine for a few
months, and then we'll start experiencing loss of the data in the "real"
infopath attachment, but only in the repeating table area.
Any suggestions?

Infopath 2007 - Bug? - The form template is not valid
I have found what I believe is a reproducable bug in Infopath 2007 Beta 2.
The steps to reproduce the bugs are:
1. Open a Word document that has a Footnote attached to some text and copy
this to the clipboard.
2. Paste this into an Infopath document.
3. Preview the Infopath document You should receive and error that says
"Infopath cannot create a new, blank form. The form template...

I am using Infopath 2007 beta2 and need to have multiple buttons which
may or may not submit the data to the Sharepoint workflow and also

these buttons to ignore all validation rules eg: when they press a hold

Attachments and Field Names
This is probably a simple question for someone.
The form I'm creating will be submitted via e-mail. I want the file name to
include two fields from the form when it's sent. I can get it to take the
first field, but I'm not sure what formula it needs for the second field. IE:
It's naming the file with the group name, but I want group name AND date.

Using Infopath to generate nice Product Sheet and Quotes/Contracts
I'm working for a company that over the years has built a very
dis-integrated hodge-podge of processes and applications to

generated manually in Word. These Word documents are e-mailed
