"Office is not installed" ??
I have a strange issue that I cannot resolve. I installed a volume license
copy of Office 2003 - Same key etc on numerous machines. All worked like a
charm. When a restricted user (Restricted via group policy) runs word ort
any office application, the icons are all greyed out and it says that the
application is not installed? None restricted users (Domain admins) can
access everythin...

Office 2007 TR problems installing
I get this message everytime I try to install it: The installation of this
package failed. Please see for more information.
I can't figure out where the log is or what is causing this to happen. Any

no products detected from Office 2007 B2TR
Office 2007 B2 installs fine on Vista RC1, but will not run.
B2TR setup cannot find any products to update.
I read a previous post about changed location of Documents folder, and tried
defaulting my previously changed Music and Pictures folders, to no avail.
Tried re-installing Office 2007 B2, then install B2TR, and still can't find
anything to update.
I have office 2007 installed on XPSP2...

Ribbon is now garbage data
Hi there.. I've got something of a nasty situation here.
I installed the B2TR, but due to the conflict with Norton, uninstalled it,
planning on just reinstalling the beta 2 without the refresh.
The intsall wouldn't work.. kept getting the error:

Office 2007 Beta 2 TR behavior
I've installed the latest TR of Beta2 on a Windows XP Pro SP2 machine and am
experiencing the following problem. I'm hoping somebody in this forum can
help me fix this problem.
1. PC has 1 admin account and 3 limited accounts
2. Office 2007 works fine in the admin account
3. When I try to use Office 2007 in any of the limited accounts it brings up
the 'initial' configuring office dialog...

Issues with re-insall of Office Beta 2
I attempted to install the Technical Release yesterday and encountered some
issues, that finally made me decide I had to back it out. After uninstalling
it, I had further issues with a re-install of Beta 2, which made me back off
to Office 2003, to try to start from the beginning. Even after getting back
to Office 2003 being fully functional, I get the same error when trying to
re-instal...

Constant Updates
I have a reformatted partition with xp pro. I installed Office. I had the old
folders on E and they were overwritten, I assume most but not all, as
expected. The program (2003) works, but everytime I load it, there is an
update dialog running for a few seconds. The way I fixed outlook was to
delete the outlook folder on E and then reinstall Outlook....

Silent install of Office 2007 B2TR
Hi
I've been trying to add an install of the Office 2007 B2TR apps to a Vista
RC-1 deployment within the Business Desktop Deployment Kit Beta 2.
The first set of Office installations I tried from the public Office 2007
beta 2 download site (in May when it was still free) kept giving me messages
saying that MSP files weren't supported in that version of Office...so I
guess that's the ...

SKU112 not found
New computer - has free Office 2003 trial. I already have CD for Office 2003
that was on the other computer that fried.
Now when I try to install by full edition over the trial, I get "A required
installation file SKU112.CAB could not be found."

How do I setup document imaging for Windows printing (command)?
I want to use the Office document imaging viewer as a default for printing
for TIFF files with a print utility. When I check to folder options - file
types in the Windows explorer, there is no print or printto option defined
for TIFFs. Can this be setup and if so, how?...

Changing license
I have two copies of Office 2004:Mac. Is there a way to find out which

Can't update Office 2003
I'm trying to do an update for Office 2003. There are 4 updates listed
that I need. When I go ahead and let it try to install, it asked for a
the Office 2000 CD. Why isn't it asking for the 2003 CD? I've tried
both the 2000 office CD and the 2003 CD and it says it can't find the
file it needs (DATA1.MSI). I've also tried choosing the option that say

Can't install Office 2007 TR
I have Ofice Beta 2 since it got up to public. I install it over Windows
Vista 5384 with no problems. Now, i want to install TR but the file does
nothing.. i mean, no error, nothing. It appear in memory like 15 seconds and
then close. No window, nothing
I try some steps founded in Microsoft help. Like active logs, write /log and
some stuf at end of exe file.. etc.. but nothing happends ...

Office XP license on third machine
I have Office XP Pro that my husband installed on his machine before we got

Office 2003 Custom Installation Wizard has no effect on Security Settings
Hi All,
It seems like all my settings work fine after I've created an MST...all
except for default macro settings (step 15 in CIW under Specify Security
Settings.)
I'm chaining service pack 2 on with no problems, but I've also tried without
chaining sp2 and the mst has no effect on Macro Security settings.
In a nutshell..HELP!!!!! Is this a known issue or has anybody stumbled

Photo editor is unable to open JPG & JPEG files.

Toolbars and Settings on Word 2003
My toolbars, and settings keep changing when I open Word 2003. Does
anyone know how to fix this problem. I set it up so I have ARIAl font,
and I remove some of the buttons that I never use, but every time I
open Word it goes back to the former settings.

Office 2003 toolbar visibility
Dear Everyone,
One of my students has a visual disability and until now has been fine using

Uninstalling Office XP Pro after installing Office 2003 Pro
I am using Windows 2000 Professional Edition on a Panasonic Toughbook. Office
2003 Pro was installed over Office XP Pro without uninstalling Office XP. I

Outlook 2007 B2TR Issues - No Hyperlink, No To Do List
It seems there have been some steps backward with Outlook 2007 with the
Technical Refresh under Vista RC1.
I have encountered two issues:
Outlook will no longer allow hyper-linking from within emails. "This
operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on the
computer. Please contact your administrator." I am "my administrator".
What can I do to re-enable hyper-linking?

error message when installing Microsoft Office, 1402
As the message says, it comes up when I am trying to install Office XP. It
says , I am not the administrator, but I am.
Someone from Dell told me to go to start, click log-off, press,
control-Alt,delete once. Administrator & password box comes up and there
should be a drop down arrow, which isn't there, to select administrator. As
it is not there I cannot do it.

how do you change the language interface in office programs
