Sharepoint Designer 2007 Beta 2 Installation Fails
I keep getting this message whenever I try to install Sharepoint
Designer 2007 Beta 2:
"an error occurred during the installation, and microsoft office
sharepoint designer 2007 (beta) setup was unable to complete"
Any help would be welcome. I've already got the regular Office 2007
apps installed (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and am just trying to get
the Sharepoint Designer to install. ...

Multiple version of office in 1 PC
Hi,
Is it possible to install multiple version of Office in a single system? If
yes, is there any issue or problem (e.g. clashes) that I should be aware of?

Activation Problems

problem installing office 97 system32/autoexec.nt error message
I AM TRYING TO RE-INSTALL OFFICE 97. I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE AS FOLOWS:

Custom GPO version mismatch
5 win2k3 domain controllers (4 running R2, 1 running SP1), 2 in 1 site
and the other 3 in individual sites all connected with T1 connections.
I created a policy a while ago to redirect the My Documents folder on
laptops as well as another policy for desktops.

It would be really usefull if Office and Communicator were integrated so you
could use the journal feature of Office to record Communicator conversations.

Minimizing the ribbon
After adjusting the Quick Access Toolbar in Excel 2007 to contain the
items I want I don't want to have the ribbon full. I know you can
minimize it with cntrl/F1 but I'm trying to write a macro to do that
whenever the program is opened. So far no joy. Anyone found a way to
do it?...

I installed the Beta 2 for Office 2007Pro on an XP machine with SP2 leaving

Preinstall office on packet HDD
Hi,
Is it possible to have have MSOffice pre-installed in a pendrive or
external hdd and run office application from the external drive in any winxp
machine without having to do any installation?

Installation Problem
I am trying to install the beta on a Win XP SP2 Machine. The install is
being done on a second partition (H: drive) of my primary hard drive. I used
the custom install option to set the install to the H: dirve. I get the
following error message when the progress bar hits about 25%:
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2007 (Beta) encountered an error during
setup.

How to uninstall Office without original disk
My clinet has the full version box but no disk. It contained the OEM
version not the retail version. I need to repair or uninstall Office.

Outlook Problem, Help Please!
I've got a computer that the motherboard went south on and will not

Office 2007 Beta 2 Slow Network Preformance
Hello, I'm trying out Office 2007Pro Beta 2 and I have noticed that opening
files from a network drive is extremely slow. So far I have tried opening
files residing on an NT4 share and a net app. Both were extremely slow,
taking nearly a minute or two. First the application opens (word or excel)
then later the document comes up.

how to change default decimal places in cell format

cannot download Office xp on new computer
I have downloaded my Office xp approximately 3 times on my old HP, but I now
have a new computer and want to download my Office xp professional 2002 cd.
It does not let me download. It says it cannot find product to download to,
or something to that effect.
Am I only able to download so many times and then I have to purchase a new
Office XP, which I need anyway?

Extended MAPI version?
Trying to setup Outlook 2000 to work with my Word 2003 to insert addresses.
Messed it up after trying the Beta 2007! I get "Must have extended MAPI
version 1.0 or higher" when I try to insert address in Word. I have Outlook
setup as Corporate or Workgroup with services set at Internet e-mail,
Microsoft Mail, Outlook Address Book and Personal Folders. What a mess!

MST Files
I created an admin install of Office 2003 SP1 on one of our servers. Then I
created 4 separate MST files each with a slightly different configuration. I
pushed Office out using Group Policies based on the MST file.
When SP2 was released I updated my admin install (after making a backup of

while intaliing msoffice2000, my pc prompts me of a missing file as
pfiles\msoffice\OFFICE\1033\OFMAIN9.CHN is missing, &then it forces me to
quit setup, i need the file, either thru down load or as an email attachment,
