Office 2007 Config.xml config
I have tried to install Office 2007 beta using the xml file, but firstly I
cannot install it silently, will only install with basic ui, and seconldy if
I try and set feature states to Absent for say AccessFiles it says the xml
file is corrupt....

Outlook profile settings do not work after reinstallation
Hello. I am using Office 2003 Pro, and have used the cusotm installation
wizard to deploy office. I needed to reinstall on a terminal server, but not
the custom Outlook profile settings don't work. It is prompting users for
mail account info when it should be setting it up automatically.
Has anyone come across this?...

Office Beta 2
While installing Office Beta 2 I get a popup as follows: -
Application popup: setup.exe - Entry Point Not Found : The procedure entry
point AddVectoredExceptionHandler could not be located in the dynamic link
library KERNEL32.dll.

I am running Windows 2000 professional with service pack 4....

How do I turn on the page indicator on the vertical scroll bar?
On most version of Word I am using (including here in my office), when I
click and hold/drag the vertical scroll bar, a small pop-up indicates what
page I am on/passing - thus allowing me to go directly to the page I want.
However, on my laptop this function isn't working? Is it possible I somehow
turned it off and if so, how do I turn it back on?

Here is the scenario: I have 30 .doc files that have pictures/text
embedded into them which are used to send off as instructions. This
works fine if I sent them with Outlook 2000 as file attachments.
However, often times I find it easier to send the email off with the
pictures/text embedded direclty into the EMAIL rather than send off an
attachment.

We are trying to deploy Office 2007 pro, without access (not all users
should have access).

Office 2007 Language support
I am running Vista set to australian Language, I have downloaded Office 2007
Beta Australian Version. When i go to install it i get a message to say
language not supported. They are both Australian, where is the problem? Can

Hi!
I have Office XP Standard Edition (English) and I want to have a spell
checker feature but the language for the spell checker will be German. Is
there a way that I can have a sort of dictionary for German Language even if
I have an english version of Office? Please advise.

How do I get the trial software to accept my product key?
I have tried many, many times to enter the product key code on the sticker

2003 Student and Teacher Edition, find how many licenses remain
I can't remember whether I have used all three licenses already (or just two)

Office will not load: Only runs under master administrator account
I have installed Office 2007 Beta 2 and have been running it without problem
for a while. Suddenly trying to load any office application results in a
message saying "Microsoft Office <program name> has not been installed for

Cannot use selected template

Count down on office trial
I REALLY would have appreciated a count down to expiration on the 90 day
trial that came with me new computer. Getting shut out at midnight on the
last day with no advance warning is frustrating.
I own a full version of Office XP, but now am strugling to figure out how to

After I enter the product key and click on "upgrade", I get an error msg...
set up cannot continue... notify microsoft of the error. Anyone else have

Moving from Office 2003 trial to XP (2002) -- will .pst work?
I got a new computer with Office 2003 90 trial installed and used it for all
90 days (a count down to expiration would have been nice). I own a full
version of Office XP Student Teacher and want to install it now. With Office
2003 shut down due to the expiration, I can't export the emails I've received
during the trial period.
Will I be able to open the 2003 outlook.pst file with the XP ...

warning ??? Windows Vista beta and office 2003 don't like each oth
I know kind of off topic, but it effects office users ...
Installed Vista beta 2 on system that had office 2003 installed.
Vista install replaces 'mapi32.dll' and Outlook 2003 wont start because it
detects the wrong version of that file .. :(
and since the file is in use by Vista, it wasn't able to replace it because
the target PC did not have a DVD drive to boot from.
Only an upgrade ...

invalid drive error message
During an upgrade from Office 2003 S&T version to beta 2, I get an error
message saying "invalid drive S" .
I've read other posts on that where they said to remove references of the
offending invalid drives ... but my problem is that drive S is a VALID
network drive, and I've mapped "My Documents", "My pictures" etc as well as
Outlook data files to that drive.
The only way I was able...

Auto-Recover to Network Drive?
I'm attempting to deploy Office 2003 SP2 to Citrix Servers on a university
campus. I'm trying to deploy using the Custom Install Wizard, so that I can
change some required settings.
One of the settings that I have changed is the location of the
Auto-Recovered files. I'm trying to set it in the custom installation wizard
to M:\ (the user's home directory), because we've had issues before...
