Photos in Tables
I am creating a sales presentation template in Word for my salespeople to
customize. I have set up a table on each page containing photos and text. The
table is reproduced on each page and is given a strict structure (doesn't
break over pages, exact height and width for each cell, etc.) Unfortunately
the salepeople are consistently having problems with adding photos to the

Word - bring back old style of "insert table" button on toolbar.
I used to like the button on the Table toolbar that allowed me to ad as many
boxes and columns when I wanted to add a table...WITHOUT having to type in
the numbers. Plus, there's the problem where I have a bullet for the table,
but when I add the darn table it includes the bullets/numbering inside the
table which I did not want in the first place or I wouldn't have used
bulleting at all ...

Word 2007 doesn't save changes to repeated table headers
Ms word 2007 (Beta 2) doesn't save changes correctly when you instruct it to
repeat a certain row as a table header in tables taking more than one page.
What happens exactly is that as long as the document is opened, the headers
are visible. However, if you save your document, close it and then re-open
it, you will not be able to see your table headers at the beginning of each
page and...

track change issue with tables
I'm using Word 2002, which will allow me to delete rows and track the
changes. However when I delete a row in a table with track changes on,
showing in bubbles, all the lines going to the bubbles squish up and
therefore look as all the changes are coming from the same place? It is very
difficult to read.
Any ideas - is it a known bug? I know there was an issue with not even

Shading is not working on a large table. Why?
I am trying to shade every other row of a table, and it won't work.
I have a table with about 31 columns, and that works fine. My new
table has about 46 columns, and when I shade a row, it doesn't do anything.
I have tried over and over again. If I select only part of the row, it will
work. If I shade the first half, and then shade the second half, ALL of the
shading disappears. Is this a...

Row at top of page is missing the border
I have a table which spans two pages. The top row on the second page is
missing the top border.
I've tried going into Borders and Shading and explicitly giving the row a
top border, but it doesn't help.

I can't insert a table from Table menu
Under the Table menu, when I select Insert the drop down menu options do not

Tables - Heading Rows DON'T repeat
My multi-page document has tables with Heading Rows. On most tables these
rows repeat, however, on one of the tables the rows do not (there are no
forced page breaks). Can't figure out why. Any help would be much

How do I reproduce the header of a table for other tables in Word
Dear Sir/Madam,
I was just wondering how I would be able to reproduce the first header(line)
of my table in each page for whole table in Word document. I do know that is

AUTOTEXT NOT WORKING
All my autotext entries appear to have disappeared. When I go into Autotext
the "Look in" box shows all active templates and although the autotext
entries are all there nothing is shown in the preview box. When I change to
"Look in" box to normal (global) templates the first entry shows the preview

Problems with word docs since installing Norton 2006
It seems that almost every document that I open that has a table in it opens
with the error message about tables now being corrupt. This has only happened

cannot sort column
Hi,
I am trying to help a neighbor who has a buisiness.
He is trying to sort a column of people on a table in Word
alphabetically.
Apparently his secretary which has been doing this for years can't do
it all of a sudden.
I tried and I get this error:
Cannot sort a table with merged cells.

Macro for aligning on plus/minus?
I know you can align text on a decimal, but I need to align columns in a
table on a plus/minus symbol (I actually use an underlined plus because I
have found that the sysmbol doesn't always transfer to a different computer).
