Is there a way to turn rows into columns in Word?
Im trying to import a Word table into Excel but I want the rows in Word to be
columns in Excel. Is this possible?...

Word Table of Contents
I have added a TOC to the beginning of a word document. All the pages are
feeding correctly but I would like to be able to begin numbering the pages
after the TOC and not having the TOC actually be part of the numbering
system. How do I do this??...

Word 2003: Putting Chapter Numbers in TOC, but not in the document
I have a document that I've used custom styles for. I want to create a
TOC based off of them and I know how to do that, but I don't know how
to get a Chapter Number, or get something like "Chapter 1" in front of
the text that's produced in the TOC from my custom style. I, of
course, don't want the "Chapter 1" to show in my document, but only in

Auto-entry of defined Form fields in Word 2003
Howdy, howdy,
Because we can't insert Form fields in the Header (because the Form
functions are "grayed out"), we put the same-titled, repetitive Form fields
on each page of a document, i.e., on each page of the document the same Form
fields appear in the same place for Aircraft Tail Number and Aircraft Serial
Number.

Error in Saving Table in Word 2003
When saving a Word doc with a standard table (created in the document) I now
get a message saying "Some features aren't supported by Word 97. Pictures
and objects with text wrapping will move above the table they are in."
I've tried reformatting the table and saving it in different formats - no
go. Appreciate any assistance. TIA...

Sort a table by graphics
Hi! We have a very large table in Word that we receive from our bank. The
1st column is graphics representing the type of transaction for each record
of the data dump.
Rather than spend all the time it would take to replace these graphics with
text - is there a way to sort on those graphics? It would be 5 images at
most representing a couple hundred records.

Tricky: Word Table Conditional Formatting
Hi there,
I've got a stumper.....
First, I have a Word document with several form fields. Some of these
fields calculate into subsequent bookmarks.
The problem: At the end of the Word document, I have a simple "Overall
Score" table that is 2x4, laid out as such:

Help with calculation in a form.
How do you enter a calculation within a table in a form template? I am
currently creating a Purchase Requisition and want two fields to multiply
together so that the person filling out the form does not need to perform the
calculation.
I have tried everything within the help menu.

Can I add text to a table automatically from a document ?
I'm writing a document that will include a number of short paragraphs that I
would also like to include in a table (in the same document). For example,
the paragraphs will define tasks that need to be achieved, then I will be
able to prioritise these paragraghs as required.

Using "repeat as header row ...", can you add word on next page?
I have a table caption in the first row of a table that spans multiple pages.
On the second and each successive page, I would like to have the word
"continued" appended to the table caption. Other than using text boxes
expertly positioned (and easily messed up if the table changes at all), is it
possible to do this? Do field codes provide this type of functionality?...

Sort problem
I have a 3 column table. Column one is locker number 1-300. Column 2 is
type M/Male F/Female and column 3 is key number.
Column 1 has 300 lockers all M. Starting with entry 301 I start over
again at 1 to reflect the start of W.
When I sort column 1 I assumed the sort would result in 1m1w 2m2w 3m3w
etc and down everyother one being a M or W all the way to the end
filling 600 entries.

Hyperlinks in Tables
I'm getting the following message when I attempt to bring up a link within a
table: "Unable to open http://www.gmacbank.com/. Cannot locate the Internet
server or proxy server."
When I created this table a few weeks ago, I could not get any of my
inserted hyperlinks to activate by double-clicking them but they would open
using the "Open Hyperlink" menu.

Word 2003 table change size of column
In Word 2003 I am having trouble when I try to make a column shorter the text
goes vertical even though there is plenty of room in the cell for the text.

Calculating dates in word tables
At first what I wanted to do seemed so simple, now I'm not so sure.
I have two tables, Table one (Column 2, row 2) has a user input date in it
that is a week end date (i.e. a Sunday)
The second table has a column which lists the dates of the week leading up
to that sunday.
Therefore:

When I select text in a 4 column table, the entire row is selecte
I have a table that was imported from and earlier version of WORD. I have
2003 now.
When I select text in a cell, WORD selects the entire row (4 columns wide).
I can carefully select a line or 2 of text being careful that the slection
does NOT include the space right after the last character and it will only
select the text.
Why is is doing this?...
