Table Sizing/Adjustment
In Word 2003, I have the automatic resize to fit contents turned off, and use
even 0.1 widths to build data tables, however, when I add additional rows or
make other adjustments, the rows don't end up being consistent widths, and
the table is not even. For instance, I will have several columns that add up
to a width of say 6 inches even, but when I look at the overall row or table
width...

How can Word recognize two consecutive tables as separate?
I created a table of contents, inserted a page break (also tried a section
break) and then created a table of authorities. When I select the table of
authorities and then press F9 to update it, my table of contents is updated
as well. That would not be bad, but this also has the effect of eliminating
my table of authorities. Word seems to substitute the revised table of
contents for the ...

How do I create web pages so tables/frames NEVER resize, even whe.
Through trial and error with MS Word, I've made web pages with tables and
frames, as well as combinations of both, but when I put the final webpage
online, they always get resized when I make the browser window smaller.
Confirming that the tables are fixed widths and that the frames are not
resizable does not resolve the problem. I assume MS Word was designed to
keep the maximum conten...

How do I multiply non-adjacent columns in a Word table?
I have a table with five columns:
Col-1: Item name
Col-2: Per unit cost
Col-3: Modifier (if cost is per-hour or per-other unit)
Col-4: Quantity
Col-5: Invoice Cost
The problem I am having is that I am trying to multiply Col-2 by Col-4 in a
field in Col-5 and I can't get it to work. I am using the "=PRODUCT(LEFT)"
formula for Col-5.
The formula does work when I put a number in Col-...

Export table to excel or access?
I have been given an 18 page word doc which is a table of names, address etc
and someone thinks this is a database. Before I laugh in their face, is
there some way I can convert this to excel, access, csv or some other format
where it can be used properly?
I used word->export to text, but the result is just a jumble.
Thanks for your help.

table text wrap problem
Using Office 2003. My word tables are allowing the text to continue on
beyond the cell where the text dissapears before it wraps. I've tried lots
of Table options, not having much luck. I have Autofit, Fixed Col width ON.
An Example:
I enter 1234567890 into a narrow table cell. Only 123456 is visable. It
will wrap and appear on a new line after so many characters.

Text Form Field Options for %
Word 2000
Part I: What is the correct Number Format to use for % if I want to have 3
places behind the decimal? I want to be able to enter 7.5, 7.50 or 7.500 in
a cell and have all 3 entries come back with 7.500%. I am using #.###% but
it does not add the extra zeroes: 7.5 comes back as 7.5%

Table cell trouble
Hi
I'm using tables in Word 2003. One of the rows starts on a new page even
though I want it to continue from the row on the previous page. I've been
through all the table properties and I can't figure out what is wrong. The
'Allow rows to break across a page' is selected. Does anyone know what the
problem is?

graphics where I want them) I can move the anchor and lock it to somewhere
outside of the table, which helps. But everytime I group or ungroup the
