Autofit multiple tables to window
I exported a number of tables from another program into my Word document. Now
I need to format all these tables (about 50 pages worth) so that they fit
across the width of my page. How do I "autofit to window" multiple tables at
the same time?...

why does Word 2000 Professional change the formatting?
May program will reformat the whole document even if select just part of the

I want to set up a template with a table that covers the page.
I want to set up a .doc that containes a table that covers the whole page, so
cannot fit into the header. I want to be able to put in a page break and have
the new page based on the whole page table.
I can't get it to work and it seems that the page will not reproduce unless
the table is in the header.
If possible a reply to

Positioning autoshapes in tables
I'm having difficulty with the vertical positioning of an autoshape in a
table. I'm trying to do this with the up/down cursor keys and the shape jumps
erratically, moving a small distance with the first keystroke and then a
bigger amount with the second. This makes it impossible to align the shape
exactly in the midle of the cell: it's either too high or too low.
The shape also "walks" ...

Not able to continue table to the next page
I am using Wprd with VSTO. Through code i have created a table of 4 rows and
4 columns and set following property
Table1.Rows.wrapAroundText = -1;
Still when i start inserting rows in to table through editor it works well.
But when table reaches to the end of the page then instead of continuing to
the
next page it starts inserting rows from the first rows...

Merge fields
I have two problems:
I want to add together two merge fields. I am using the insert equation in a
table. The format I am using is: {={MAILMERGEopeningbid}+{MAILMERGEincrement}}
This keeps giving me a syntax error.
The next thing I want to do I add together in a cell the result of the new
field I am calculating above plus the MERGEFIELD increment.

Table of contents
When I send a WORD document using OUTLOOK, the TOC loses its formatting. The
table then needs to be updated again. Is there a way to keep it as a TOC
(not doing the Ctrl-Shift-F9) and send it so it arrives with the correct page
numbers?...

Protect cells
I created a form in word using table cells. The form will be filled out
using word.
The problem I'm having is when someone hits enter the cell grows bigger, or
if you backspace to the beginning of the cell the cell size shrinks. How do
I protect the fields from expanding and collapsing. I want a fixed cell that
will only accept a certain number of characters.

merge cells in a table
How can I merge cells in the last column of a table? Since they are not at
the top of the table I cannot select the cells from the top. And no matter
what I try, the return marker outside the first cell always gets highlighted
in the selection and won't give me the merge option. What am I doing
incorrectly???...

stop text moving on carriage return
I am typing a template letter, the (our reference) is typed on a single line.
When the address is added the ref line moves down. How do i fix the ref
line so it doesn't move?
eg.
address 1
address 2
address 3
If further text is typed here, the ref line (below) moves down on carriage
return. How can this be stopped or fixed so it does not move???

Copying Shading from Excel Worksheet to Word Table
Does anyone know how to copy the shading from an Excel spreadsheet into a
Word table? The text copies, but not the color-coding that I have used in

Table wider than the column width?
I am using WordML (XML rather than binary format) files that have 2 columns
on a page in landscape orientation. Since you can't put a section break
inside a user XML tag, I can't change the number of columns in the middle of
this document. But sometimes I need a Table that is wider than the width of
a column.
Is there some way to mark a Table to be "positioned" relative to the page

How to stop cursor flicker in Word?
When I am editing a large table, which I do a LOT, the cursor flickers
crazily while the spellchecker icon is working in the bar at the bottom of
the window. I turned off the spellchecker, gramar checker and the smart tags
and the spellchecker icon went away. This makes the flicker not las as long,
but it still happens when I move the cursor....

Why do my table columns move again after I resize them?
When I resize a table column in Word, I drag the border to where I want it to
go, but then most of the time Word then changes the column width to something
entirely different - usually it's worse than before I did the resize! Is
this some automatic "helpful" feature that I can turn off? It's driving me
crazy!...

selection
I am using a macro to select all, then alt+9 to update fields in my
doc. It works just fine, but when finished, the doc is still
completely selected.
Could someone please tell me what command to use in my macro to get
rid of the selection highlighting before exiting the macro.
