Turn Off Sentence Capitalisation.
I'm trying to compile technical documentation & whenever I start a new
sentence, Word 2002 automatically converts the first character to uppercase.
How do I turn that annoying function off?

Mail Merge Spell Check
Hello,
I'm using Word 2002 on a Windows XP Pro SP2 box.
When I'm working on a mail merge document the "Do Not check spelling" option
under TOOLS - LANGUAGE - SET LANGUAGE always seems to be checked. Is this by
default or can we change this so it is automatically not selected?
Thanks.......

Custom Dictionary - Base Language Other than US English
Hi. I use Word 2004 for Mac. I can't seem to add words to a custom dictionary
unless the base dictionary is U.S. English. I'm Canadian, so I want to set my
base dictionary to U.K. or Canadian English and be able to add custom words
to it, but it won't let me add words to the dictionary unless it's in U.S.
English. I can switch to U.K. English, but it won't let me add anything to
that dic...

Spell check of hyphenated compound words in non-english (Finnish)
Searching for old discussions here I get this:
The English spell checker checks hyphenated words separately, if it
does not find the combination in the dictionary. But other language
versions might not, and in my case the problem is the Finnish spell
checker which flags all hypenated compound words as errors. And there
is a ton of them in Finnish technical writing, like "IP protocol" is
"I...

misses incorrectly spelled words
I've got minor problem / question:
Word 2000 SP-3, I've got "Ignore CAPITALIZED words" set in the spell check
options so that word doesn't flag acronyms, etc.
However, I was spell checking a document, and Word did not identify
"reponsible" (without the quotes) as an incorrectly spelled word, apparently
because the font / style was Small Caps. (The word was most definitely in

Disabling spell and grammar checking for a document
I'm working on a very long technical document hate to see all the
spelling and grammar errors when they do not mean anything.
It looks like checking spelling and grammar is an option that applies to

document?
I tried to use Language/English/Do not check spelling and grammar but
that just does not seem to work.

Missing dll files
When I click the Spell Check button in Word 2000, an error message says it
can't find the files msspell3.dll and mssp232.dll. Have gone to Control
Panel/Add new programs and run the reinstall on Office followed by a restart
- no luck. Where can I locate those files and where should they be installed

Thank you in advance....
