Spell Check Selectively Not Working
Hi all,
I created a document in WORD on my laptop. At the time, I don't believe I
registered the copy -- I did so a couple of weeks later. Spell check will
work on every other document I have created on the laptop -- except this one.
(That's why I've included the info on when I registered. It's the only thing
I can think of that could be affecting this problem.)
I saved the document ...

Spell check won't work in particular documents
My wife and I both use Word 2003.
We have our Word programs set up to spell check as we type and to auto
correct. Spell checking and auto correct work on all new documents.
Everything worked well until we discovered this problem.
One of my wife's students pointed out that a word document that my wife
created using a copy and paste technique from an older document would not

Replacing Text by Highlighting and typing correct word over it. H
When I'm typing in WORD (2003) and I want to make a correction (here's an

If I want to replace a word (or letter) I HIGHLIGHT the word (or letter) and
enter the word (or letter) I want to REPLACE it with. You would "think" it

ignoring fields?
Hello,
I would like spell checker to ignore End Note-generated citations, as
these contains proper names.
Is there an easy way to do this?
I gather that if I could set all citations to a particular style, and
set that style to be ignored that would work. However, how would I go
about changing the style of all EndNote citations?
Thanks for your help

a mistake in the Microsoft dictionary
I found what seems to be a mistake in the dictionary that MS supplied
with Office 2000. "plebian" does not show up as a misspelling -- but
it is, as best as I can tell.
The word is correctly spelled "plebeian". I cannot find any authority
on the Internet that says that "plebian" is even an "alternative".
Here is just one of the references that I found:
