Special Character Design
I used Word 97 "special character design" facility to draw special Rorschach
evaluation characters (or symbols, as you wish). Now I moved over to Word
2003 and I am not able to do that any more (At least I have not been able to
find the same facility in the menus).
Is it still there or is there a workaround?
Any clue will be welcome.

Need help identifying font
Greetings - I could really use some help here. We had a graphics designer
help design our logo. Unfortunately, this designer was not very timely in
responding to our needs and we had to "move on" so to speak.
This artist helped design the logo shown in the image below. We are trying
to identify what font was used for the 'Centerpoint Translucent Systems'
text.
Anyone recognize thi...

Single pages are printing in columns! How to cancel the template?
My father's business printer suddenly started printing single pages in column
format. A person who has a computer business in town mentioned that one had
to "cancel the template" in the hidden files...something to do with Explorer
I think.
This problem can't be corrected in Word. I am sorry this is second hand
information from my father. He isn't computer illiterate but can't seem to

Printer Embedded cpi Fonts
Is there a fix for Windows XP (Word2000) to pick up
printer-embedded cpi fonts from Panasonic Mod2023
dot matrix printer?
The Windows XP Model 2023 driver doesn't pick them
up.. No other driver is to be located. Fonts are
the standard Courier, Draft and Bold, 10, 12, 15,
17 cpi, etc.
Thanks,
W. Laub

character combined of two characters
Hi,
I have seen the solution somewhere on the net, but unfortunately I cannot
find it:
In Word 97 I want to print letters in a circle (eg. letter B inside letter
O). Can I simulate a cursor left keystroke or how can I print two characters
on top of each other?

Fonts size not matching
Hopefully this is an easy fix and SOMEONE knows how to fix it. When I open
Word 2003 as a new document, set the font to Arial 10 pt font, it appears
microscopic when shown on print preview as well as when printed. In order to
get it to print a "normal" 10 pt font, I have to set it at around 18 pt, but
it has large spaces between words and lines. This problem occurs with any
font style...

Changing font for unicode characters
Hi,
I had a problem in MS Word that started off from the Equation Editor.
Somehow some of my definitions for font styles seemed to be reset and
I (apparently) mistakenly thought that I had set Palatino Linotype as
the font for _everything_, but actually I discovered that I only get
correct rendering if "Symbol" is set to the Symbol font. Otherwise
minus sign (or "en dash"), "identical to...

Some fonts will not print (Word)
I had a number of fonts that I'd been using in Word for a long time; in
the pull-down font menu, they had a "T1" icon. Now they all have a
printer icon. All of the fonts display correctly on the screen, but
they won't print. If I have a document with some TrueType fonts and
some of the T1 fonts, only the TrueType ones will show up when I print.
Here's what I've tried so far:

I have to do some Word user support here where I work in addition to
developing automation solutions involving Word.
Recently I had a user who printed a document, and it had two copies of page

lines.
She has since saved on top of the document in question, and now of course
the problem is not reproducible.

Drop-down font list corrupted
I've spent the better part of the day trying to fix this: in all Office

for the life of me I can't think of a thing that has changed in my
configuration. The drop-down list for font selection is showing an
incomplete list of fonts, eg. A...

Setting the Printer to One Other Than the Default for a Document
This was referenced in this topic:

But I am wondering if a macro could be used that ran upon opening the
document that would switch the printer to one other than the default.
