Have a View in Word so you to read a doc and edit another
It would be really handy to have a view exactly the same as the READING View,
but one side is an exisitng document and the other is a NEW document that you
can edit. So you have two scroll bars, that way you can scroll and view an
existing doc and make notes from it in the NEW doc, without having to swap
between different docs.
Hope that makes sense - I saw that someone suggested TABS ...

print does not match the screen
hi -
I have specified margins for my document (1" top and bottom, 1.38" left and
right). On the screen, it looks like everything is as i have specified, but
when i print the document the top and bottom margins come out as about 1.5"
on the printed page.
at first, i thought maybe i have done some strange formatting at some point
in the life time of this document, so i started a new one...

"Comment" references are superscript - not a good thing [WORD 2000
Can't figure out how to get the "Comment" references to be on line with the
text to which the comments refer. They appear to be superscript, but
highlighting them and "un-super-ing" these has no effect at all. Highlighting
the entire document and un-super-ing it, too, has absolutely no effect. So
the problem must be in the "comment reference style"; I've tried to change
the formatting vi...

Master doc looses heading numbering style of 1 subdocument - why?
Hi,
I am using Word 2002.
I am trying to format my Master document (PhD).
The headings of 1 subdocument loose their numbering (in the master document)
every time I close the master document - although I followed the instructions
and edited all the headings in the master document (as opposed to the
subdocuments).
Could somebody please suggest why that would be the case?
So far I ha...

How do I recover my file bar in Office 2003.
Word 2003 is minimized to 2/3 of a page. However, it indicates that it is

not fix the problem. It did cause my file bar to disappear (file, edit,
view, favorites, etc.). I can type in AltF and get the file box to drop down
