How to reformat existing word doc with new template? Thanks John
I have an existing word doc created using Word 97 SP2 and the original
template used to create the document has now beeen replaced with a new one I
need to issue the original document using the new template. Do I have to cut
and paste section by section or is there a smarter way to reissue several
hundred docs with the new template.
Thanks John....

Control Z-Order of text and images in importing HTML documents to Word
Hello,
I have an issue trying to open HTML source in Word 2003. The HTML
includes a "background" letterhead that is actually positioned with
CSS and set behind the text using Z-Index.
When opening in Word, the graphic "wrap" setting is by defult changed
-- Word does not seem to recognize the layering within the HTML, and
won't set the wrap to "Behind-text."
The letterhead has to be ...

Header linked to unrelated header
Hi,
I have set up headers to include chapter headings. There is a glitch, however.
The header of one section appears to be linked to a header in an unrelated
section earlier in the document. If I change the chapter name in one, it
changes in the other.
--The headers are not linked in Word.
--To put the chapter name in the header initially, I inserted a field for
the chapter na...

Text Wrapping in Floating Figures
I think I have been coming accross a typesetting limitation in word in pretty
much every version including the 2007 Beta having to do with the wrapping of
text around a floating figure.
If you make a document with several paragraphs taking up, say, 3/4 of the
first page, then insert a picture that is just less than 1/4 of a page tall
that is positioned to appear, say, at the bottom of a...

Maintaining paper source when using different printers
We are working in a networked environment where multiple employees use
a MS Word file. These employees use different printers at their
respective locations (HP Laserjet 4050n, HP Laserjet 4300 & HP Laserjet

settings from the printer driver whenever someone opens the file. All
of the printers are loaded with Letterhead p...

Legal pleading Line Numbers don't print
I have set up the legal pleading wizard, and I have downloaded a template
from Microsoft. I see the line numbers and two verticle lines next to them.
But when I go into print preview or when I print the document, the line
numbers and verticle lines have disappeared. I have tried this on two
different computers with the same results. Any clue what is wrong?...

Rulers in Print View don't show inches - shows line numbers?
I know you can change the ruler to centimeters or inches in the "tools,
options, general, measurement units" section - but this is different.

The horizontal ruler is showing increments of 2 every 1/4 inch or so.
Changing the measurement units has no effect.
This is in the Print Layout view.
