Section Number not showing up right on page numbers
I have a problem with my sections. I have a report with about 6 sections and
a table of contents in the beginning. I put my first section break after the
table of contents, and I want the first section and each section after that
to have page numbers with both the section and page number, but the first
section page numbers always say page 2-1 instead of page 1-1. The second

Larger than life print layout view
For years my Word page in view/print layout was a real size 8.5". The other
day, after an update mandated rebooting, everything on my screen display
became larger and fuzzier, and my Word page enlarged to about 10.5". The
display still runs at 1024 x 768 @ 60 hz and at 96 DPI. What happened and how
do I fix it? Help.

Header Footer question
Hi, I want to set up a header and footer for the First Page, and than a
different for the following pages.
So far i only manage to do this, when I have allready a 2 page
document. What I want is a template with 1 page initially, and only
whern your letter is getting longer and you need a secound/third page
you will get the different header/footer.

Arcane Question @ Text Boxes & "Frames"
After having created a text box, if you right click on the box, a
"Format Text Box" window appears among the drop-down choices. One of
the tabs on this window is actually called "Text Box," and on this tab,
there is a choice to "Convert to Frame."

Added a page border but no bottom line via print preview
I created a page border but when I view the page via print preview, the
bottom line of the page border doesn't show up. The help screen refers to a
print layout view but that information doesn't seem to apply.
I tried to change the page margins to see if that would fix the problem, but
no.
Any suggestions?

How to create style to automatically suppress CR after a Heading?
I am trying to create a heading style so that following text begins on the
same line, but I am baffled. I see no way to suppress the carriage return.
Jay Freedman's response to my previous question showed how to manually
format to create the proper effect on a case by case basis not how to set up
a style.
I use this format frequently so I would like to have it automatic, if
possible....

Endnote page formattingq
Word automatically inserts a horizontal line at the top of each page after
the endnotes page of a research paper. My bibliography must appear on the
last page, but a horizontal line appears across the entire header of this

Font substitution
I'm designing templates for my organisation, and would like to use one of the
fonts bundled with our version of Office:
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/product.aspx?PID=143
As these aren't system fonts they may not appear on users machines when we
email documents outside our organisation.

MS word settings please for 'carless / NOVEL MANUSCRIPT FORMAT'

Header and Footer in Template - question
Hi,
Just wondering if someone can help me.
I have created a word 2003 template with a company logo and address in
the header and footer.
I want this to be on the 1st page of the letter that is created from
the template but then if a user types on to the 2nd page it is just a
blank page.
I cannot find out how to do this anywhere, can anyone help me?

Pasting two columns as image
I have a table that displays on a page with two columns. I am trying to copy

should preserve the original format of the two columns, but it is pasting as

Left and right justified text on one line
Not sure if this is the right sub-forum of microsoft.public.word but

Right/Left alignment problem
My daughters teacher specified for my daughter's homework that her name and
