mirror margins when switching between portrait & landscape
Hi,
I am writing a large thesis and switch quite frequently between portrait and
landscape layout due to tables etc. I need to have my inside margins set at
3cm and my outside margins at 2cm but it doesn't seem to work for my
landscape orientation pages.... do I have to manually change the margins on
these pages? Or is there a way to set it up so that Word automatically
realises that ...

Unable to set margins to default causing page break problems.
When using Microsoft Word I am unable to continue typing to the next page. I
don't believe it has anything to do with page break. I think it has to do
with the margins. When I go into FILE, PAGE SET UP, MARGINS and try to
default margins it won't allow me to default and an error message pops up. ...

How do I miss out header only on p1 of a doc with diff sections
I have a word document with pages which are portrait and landscape. This
seems to cause the document to go into different sections. When I try to

other sections. Some of the sections seem to say "first page footer" even
though they are not on the first page of the document but rather the first

have had for most other folks with this problem. Any other ideas?

Footer different on last page
I hope this is not too basic a question, but I'm stumped (never did get the
hang of headers/footers!). Using Office 2003, I need to put the page number

is a "different first page" option on page layout. Now I need to put
something else (document identifier) in the footer on the LAST page only,

Top and Bottom Margins Are Zero Until View Header is Opened
Hi All;
I am using Word 2003 SP2 on WinXP Pro SP2. When I open a document
(normal.dot template) the top and bottom margins are set to 1" but the
cursor is at the very top position. If I type text it will continue to
the very bottom of the page. If at any time I view header and footer,
the text immediately conforms to the correct 1" margins. When I close
the view header and footer, whether ...
