Get numbering text when several ListNum on same line
Hi,
I'm having trouble getting the numbering text of a ListNum field when
it is not the first numbering field in a paragraph.
I usually use the ListFormat.ListString property, but it doesn't work
in this case, as this property (and ListFormat in general) always gets
the first list entity in a paragraph.
So if I had this in the document:
"It happens fbecause: a) reason1, b) reason 2, c) re...

Non-Standard Page Numbering
I have a challenging dilemma that has stumped me for several days now
and could use some help. My organization has a standard format for
publishing documents. Chapter 1 is Introduction, etc. If, when
creating a document, you don't have information for a particular
chapter, you leave that chapter out (No changing this policy.) So the
document I inherited (150 pages, which has a manually cr...

Is it possible to have a single list with different styles?
Is is possible to have an outline format with multiple styles per
level?
Say a 9 level legal type outline where each level has two formats.
1 Level 1a
1 Level 1b
1.1 Level 2a
1.1 Level 2b
1.1.1 ..... you get the point ...
such that the list uses a single numbering sequence ....
ex:
1 Level 1a
1.1 Level 2a
1.2 Level 2b
1.3 Level 2b
1.3.1 Level 3a
1.4. Level 2a

Problem with cross-reference field seperator switch
In Word 2003 I have an outlined numbered style with some custom formatting.
The levels are as follows:
4-250

(1)
(a)
i
I inserted the "()" when I created the outlined numbering so they would show
up automatically. The problem I have is that cross-references (paragraph
number, full context) do not show up properly. I would like the
cross-reference (i.e. to ...

Embed an incrementing number within the text
Hi,
I'm using Word 2000 on Windows XP.
I'm going to be sending out letters to customers, perhaps up to 300 and I
want to be able to assign a unique number to each customer, and have it
embedded within the document text. For example: "... your unique reference
number is [ 176 ] ..."
The numbers would begin at '1' and increment by one for each letter being
sent out. I had wondered if ...

the last paragraph mark to a new document and removing all formatting), but

Detecting Footnote Reference Number Argh!

I need to be able to loop through the footnotes, grab the reference

Q: inserting LISTNUM levels in doc
I am using Word 2000
I have LISTNUM fields in a document. When I wish to add a
cross-reference then word displays a menu of listnums that
looks very much like a table of contents from which to choose
the link.
I want to embed something similar to that menu in my document.
It seems I can't just use a TOC because the TOC isn't based on
the LISTNUM fields. (I played with footnotes ...

Non-standard paragraph numbering question
I have a long document that has fairly normal outline numbered styles;
however, the numbering of one level needs to count by fives:
Chapter 100.
Section 110
Section 115
Section 120
etc.
In a couple of cases, I'll need to count by tens (210, 220, 230, 240)
or sequentially (310, 311, 312, 313). What's the best way to handle
this without making the document unstable? I'd still ...

Numbered Lists in Word 2000
Is there a limit to the amount of lines in a numbered bullet list? It seems
to top out at 110.
The person wishes to create a list that may go on for 4 or 5 hundred. One
line per number. He is using it as a catalog index to a file cabinet. Find
the item in the list and go pull that number folder.
I have never actually used Word this way and really never thought about it.
