Blinking cursor mark
I have been using Word for awhile now and the 'blinking cursor mark' just
before where I type has always been a thin vertical line. Now its a shorter,
wider line. I know this is really a small thing, but I get distracted by it
and would like the original thin, taller line back. Can anyone give me a hand
here?...

Can one automatically shrink text to fit within a fixed-size table cell, text box or frame?

I have a client who wishes me to create a form whereby there are
fixed-size boxes that his users can fill in with text. Instead of the
containers expanding to fit the content, he wants the content itself to

Insertion point shortcut changes after using <ctrl>+<f>!!
After I've used the word finder <ctrl>+<f> I can no longer navigate using the
keyboard shortcuts meant for placing the insertion point at the beginning or
end of a page. The shortcuts <ctrl>+<pgdn/up> are instead changed to look
for the next instance of the word I was previously looking for. It seems
that the word finder is reassigning these shortcuts. Please hel...

Track Changes Prompt
I have a group of users all using MS word with track changes - one
machine when the user tries to save the doc with pending changes
outstanding gets a prompt "there are pending changes in this doc would
you like to continue save?" options are ok cancel and tell me more -
tell me more brings up the generic word help article about track

Clicking to position the cursor at end of line
I often find myself wanting to click the mouse to put the cursor at the end of
the last line of a paragraph so I can continue editing there. Unfortunately, I
find that when I do this, Word often selects the entire line, which I then
overwrite when I start typing. Not what I want. Instead, it seems that I have

Hi,
I wasn't to sure where to post this. I have a user with XP Home using
Office XP Pro. The problem is
that after I've opened up Word I'll click on the look in box to save the
document and I just hang. This is
consistant every single time I go to save a doc or try to traverse to

create labels from letters
I created a letter template and then with letter wizard, imported my database
of addresses to be put in. I created the letters. I want to do labels now,
but when bringing up the envelope/label wizard, it will only create one label
or a label sheet with only one address. Isn't there anyway to do this at the

Bullet size problem
Using Word 2002.
I can't find a large square bullet. They all seem too small. I'm
trying to get a square black bullet that equals the size of at least 10
pt Arial lower case characters. When I enlarge the bullet size, it
enlarges but it also moves too far upward, and doesn't stay down on the
same line as the base of the Arial 10 pt lower case characters. Any
thoughts?

How do I activate "Dictionary" on my tool bar?
I have put "Dictionary" and "View Codes" on my Tool Bar in Word, but they are
not activated. How do I get them to work.
I've been a died in the wool Word Perfect user for years mainly because of
the "reveal codes" and all the tools. I'm trying to switch to Word 2003,

publisher's website. The resulting Word table has one column full of

my global Normal.dot template is corrupted. How do I fix it?
I have a new job and it is to tailor all user manuals to the same format.
Each manual has different style tags for headings, paragraphs, lists, ect.
How can I remove (delete) the old style tags and apply only the new styes
that will be common to all documentation?

Autotext entry with sequence field on different PCs
I am working on a document which has Autotext entries incorporating a
sequence field. I wrote it in Word 2000, but when I took the document to
another PC running (I think) Word 2003, I was unable to create more Autotext
entries of this type.
I found that the tag I was using "qtag" in this case was not being
recognised as an Autotext entry.
Is there any way around this?
