Force document save from template
I have a document template that is a protected form.
After the user fills it in I want to force a save to a particular folder
(ideally I would have it grab data from the first two fields in the form to
generate the save field). It's a product order form.

How cut&paste web text to Word and keep the formatting?
How do I cut-&-paste text from a web page (I use Opera) and paste the
text into Word and at the same time preserve much of the original
formatting in the web page?
I'm sure my MS Word 2003 (ver 11) used to do this but now it doesn't
seem to work like that....

Reversing word order - is it possible?
Is there a way (apart from doing it manually, of course) of reversing the
word order of a block of text? So that, for example, "This sentence is
normal" becomes "normal is sentence this"?
Easy enough to do for four words, but (for reasons far too unbelievable to
go into) I have to reverse several chunks of text running to a hundred words
or so each.

hyphenation off for one word
As an old-time WP user,* I thought it would be possible to have
hyphenation on for a document but turn it off for one single word, like
where there's a hyphenation over a page break. No prob in WP, of
course. Well, after checking here and at the MS site and other places,
I guess not. You can turn off hyphenation for a paragraph, so I guess

Macro not working on other pc's
I have created a new template and added a macro to it to unprotect the form
and insert additional lines. When I open the template, the macro shows up
under the template in question (not just on the normal template). Does
anyone know why the macro won't work or display on other pc's? I tried to
use the organizer to copy from one template to another without much success.

Opening Word without a blank document
As things stand now, when I open Word, it comes up with a blank document. I'd
like it to come up with no document at all. Is there a way to configure it to

If field in forms
I have created a form to be filled in using Word 2003. I have two drop-down
boxes which I need to link somehow.
What I want to do is:
If the name in the first drop-down box is "John Smith"
The qualification in the next drop-down box is "ARIBA"
If the name in the first drop-down box is "Jane Brown",
The qualification in the next drop-down box is "ARICS"

Headers and Footers
I have created a document using a header and a footer. Is there a way to also
create a similar feature for the left side of the document. For example,I

What is that field called?
What is that field called where you just give a single click in the field

Default 'Save As' file name
Whenever I save a document created from a Word template (.dot) file, the
default filename is 'Address.doc' or 'Wednesday.doc'.
Why is this?
It's been this way for as long as I've used Word and I've never specified
this nor can I find where Word keeps this information.

Table of Contents Word 2003
My TOC for my 514-page book mysteriously disappeared when I pressed Alt + F9
to update the table. ( I had added a new page and new headings). Now instead
of the 15-page TOC, I have {TOC..\*.MERGEFORMAT.} in its place. When I right
click on it I have options like toggle fields etc. But all I want is to see
the TOC. How do I get it back? And how do I avoid this problem in the
future?...

W2003- starting Wrd without these 2 bars!: "Getting Started" and "NEW document".
I find 2 of the new bars in this new version to me incredibly annoying
and need to get rid of them.
I'd like W2003 to start without that "Getting Started" bar on the
right.
Also, when I press FILE > NEW I'd like to be taken directly to the
available templates on my computer just like with W2K.
These 2 new bars are great but I want to invoke them myself when I
need them and not to h...

How do I type on a scanned document saved in RTF
I am having trouble typing on a document that was scanned into word then
saved into RTF format. I saved it, closed it, reopened it, and the only thing
I can get it to do is move the whole page around. I know I am missing a step
somewhere, how can I type on it now? Thanks...

Prompt to update style
It used to be that when you modified some text you could highlight the style
box, hit enter, and it would ask if you wanted to update the style. I've
enabled "prompt to update style" but it doesn't seem to be happening. How

Norton Plug-in (+Norton)
Hi all
I'm going to encourage a client to buy MS Office (prob 2003 from a box) so
that he san see the edits I'm doing in Word from his manuscript (converted
