How to create a tab in a table
I would like to make a tab to separate some text in a cell of a table.
However, whenever I press "Tab", it moves to next cell.
Any tricks?

Just installed Word 2006-difficulty printing
I was happy to get the beta version and then needed to print two letters for
work.
Word 2006 shows the letter to be full page in print preview, and all other
settings seem correct, but it prints the letter in the upper left quarter of
the page. Luckily, I still have functionality with Word 2003 and was able to
print normally
Any clues?...

Installing Equation Editor
I've tried unsuccessfully to install Equation Editor in my Office XP
professional file. I've even unistalled Office and reinstalled it . What's
going on? I'm using Windows XP home edition. Also, I have plenty of disk
space....

Word and Norton
Hi. It's often been said in this ng that the Norton add-in is responsible
for much grief in Word, so one should disable it by right clicking on the
systray icon, clicking on the Option button, then Misc, then clear the
Enable Office plug-in check box.
Well, I installed Word 2003 for an editing client yesterday and there was no
option button, only display options...
Any ideas?

Clickable table of contents
Is there a way to create a table of contents for a list of information
that I can click on and go to that section of the document? Just like
you do on websites with FAQ sections.

license agreement always appears when opening WORD
Hi,
We have WORD 2002 and every time I enter it the license agreement screen
comes up. I select agree and continue into the program.
Why is this continuing to pop up? How do you shut it off?

My paragraph looks shaded, and I can't edit it?
I'm trying to cut and paste paragraphs from one document to the other. The
paragraphs are shaded and won't let me edit. Maybe because it's in form
style? How can I remove the formatting so I don't have to rekey the
paragraph?...

Can one field apply to multiple areas in a document?
I want to set up a template to ask a "fill in" question once but enter the

document occassionaly jumps to top or bottom
Documents I am working in occoassionaly shake and then jump to the top
of the document or to the bottom of the document. Any idea on what is
happening and how to fix it? It can be a real pain when your in the
middle of a 10 page document and it does this.

I am not getting the option to save in microsoft word. Why?
I got this new computer for christmas last year and it came with microsoft
word and other programming for a trial period. I have not purchased
microsoft word but I am still able to use some of the features but not all. I
am wondering if this is why I am not even getting the option to save through

Word output to printer too big
Hi,
I've got an HP Officejet T65 printer. In Word it shows the width of my text
as 4.5 inches, but when I print it out the width measures out to more like 5
inches (just under 5 inches). I'm using the HP Officejet T Series printer
driver.
The strange thing is, if I get it to print directly as a PDF file, it
outputs the file as 5 inches (slightly larger than 5 inches actually).

Print Page Range what operator or symbol
Good morning;
I forgot what operator or symbol is used to print a range of pages in Word.
After you do a file ---print---pages.
In the blan space, using 1,2,3,7, will print those specific pages but what
is used to print page 1 through 7 of a 20 page documant? is it the ;
Why wouldn't they set this up the same as Excel where all you have to do is
check Pages and enter from 1 to 7

Word 2000 - fix chart data?
Hi everyone :)
I'm using Word 2000.
I've inserted a simple chart using Insert, Object, Microsoft Graph 2000
Chart.
Once I've entered the data, is there any way of 'freezing' it so the
data can't be changed?
I know I can use SnagIt to turn it into a jpeg, but I'd like to keep
formatting options open.

More TOC help, please?
I have inherited a document with a TOC field. Every time I choose to update
the entire field, though, it goes haywire! I hope someone can help.
I have two styles used - Heading 1 and Heading 2. I believe they are both

I would like to write in this way.

Requirement: The equation starts from the first left tab.
and then after some space , I list the equation number. The lenght of the
equation number varies The trick I would like to see is this number is
right aligned.

I would like to create a table of contents in another document. I know how
to create a table of content with the original document but I would like to
put the table of contents in a separate document.
I can cut and paste but it losses its ability to update.

Track Changes
I received a document from another person that has their tracked changes in
red. Their changes are in red strikethrough for words they've deleted; and
in RED font for words they've added.
When I PRINT the document, my printer doesn't print in RED, and although the
strikethroughs print okay, the RED text doesn't show up as RED, in fact the
RED text is not enough change from the regular ...
