Duplicate File Menu Item - PDF
In Word 2003, I have two entries on the File menu that say "Create Adobe
PDF" -- and neither one works. With a Word document open, clicking on
either entry appears to do nothing at all.
I have Adobe Acrobat PDFWriter version 4.0, and I have no trouble printing
to it from any Windows application, including Word 2003.
A similar menu item appears in Excel 2003 only once, and it works

I recently purchased this new computer which can installed with the new
microsoft office 2003. However, I haven't been able to use my word document
program because the free trial period has expired as of 6/30/06. Is there a
way to use the copy and paste functions of this program without having to buy
the full version?

I know how to show or hide paragraph marks using the icon on the toolbar but
I wonder if there is a way to do it from the main menu? I don't always

Hotkey for "Find again"
In MS Word 2003, when I want to find some text I do this:
CTRL F, then enter a search string, then press <Find Next>
(1) How can I "Find Again" by using a hotkey instead of clicking the
button?
(2) Could such a hotkey be made to work even if the Find window is
closed?

Default "Save As" Filename
Is there a way to stop Word from filling in a filename when a file is first
saved? I find the need to delete the suggested filename annoying.

Watermarks on select pages of a document
Word 2003 under WinXP
Is it possible to insert a watermark on just one page of a document? I have
a short document, an agenda (Its own section), and some notes, and would
like to have the agenda page with a 'draft' watermark and the other pages
without. Using Format|Background|Watermark seems to put the watermark on all
pages. I've unlinked the sections' header/footer, which doesn't see...

Word 2003 - F1 and macros
I don't think this is unique to Word 2003 (I noticed the same thing in Word
2000) - but why can't the F1 key be used for a macro instead of to bring up
Help? Does anyone know - or IS there in fact a way to assign F1 to execute
a macro?

Turn OFF screen refresh when scrolling?
I have some Excel charts in my Word doc. When trying to scroll up or down
using the mouse wheel, the doc "stutters" as it has to redraw every line of
these charts. Is there a way I can turn off the screen refresh until I'm
past these charts, and then turn it back on?

Using templates
I have a simple MS Word template created in Office 2003 that I have
added drop down menu boxes to certain fields. By making a specific
selection in these dropdown menus can I trigger a specific
autofill/completion of a separate cell in a table? Does it require a
macro or can I just use the Autotext feature? Basically I'm trying to

copy and paste
Hi,
I copy words from a word document, Eng 97, which include
double-quotation mark and paste it to a Access 97 form which field type is
memo in Eng Win Xp. After this, when I press the backspace key, chinese
character will appear in the place of double quotation mark and when I
print, Chinese appears as well. Can you please help? Thanks.

Find and Replace not working within template
I downloaded the Employee Manual Outline from MS template page. i am
trying to replace the field/text[Organization Name]which also has a gray
background with our company name. Unfortunately it wont work. After
searching the doc it comes back with zero found, zero replaced. i try
edit field, nothing i can see that will allow this. does this issue have

Making photos smaller for emailing
Hi
Whenever I selected a file and after selecting " Email this file" in the
sidebar I used to get a window that gave me a choice to "Make all my
pictures smaller" or "Keep the original size." This window no longer appears
and the file is placed in my email ready to be sent without and reduction in
size. How can I restore this option?

Am I able to merge an address book from a different program?
