Date format keeps changing
Hi I have a user where the date format on her documents keeps changing. Her Regional Options are set to Ireland, with short Date Format dd/mm/yy and long date format of dd/mm/yyyy. In a Word doc, if she goes to a footer, and clicks the Insert Date button, the format will be incorrect. Mostly! Sometimes its dd/mm/yy, which is fine, but often mm/dd/yy I've used the PC myself, and seen th...

Serious bug in Microsoft Pinyin 12 BETA
Please refer this bug report to who is responsible for the Microsoft Pinyin 12 BETA Chinese input method. When inputting the Chinese word "virgin", I type: chunv It is mistakenly converted to "pure v", instead of "virgin". It now requires "chu'nv" in order to correctly output "virgin". But this should not be necessary because 'v' is never a consonant. Yao Ziyuan ...

Flopping back to Japanese input mode
So far Microsoft Word XP seems to be the only program affected, and only a new computer that I received a few months ago. Not a serious problem, but annoying, and I haven't been able to observe any definitive pattern. Prior to this, when working in English, the computer would stay in the English input mode. Now it has a tendency to flop back into Japanese input mode. There are several trig...
