Understanding the documents that people create
Hi,
I've been a member of this group for a while and recieved (and given)
lots of help on Word.
I am currently developing a product to solve a number of the
formatting problems that people experience when working with Microsoft
Word documents.
If you could spare only a few minutes to complete the following
survey, it would be very helpful.

Color Printing
I had a user with a question regarding color pages. We have a leased
photocopier/printer where a counter is used to count the number of color
pages printed. We recently had a fairly high page count so the question
came about, if you print a document where one page is color, does Microsoft
designate that whole document as being color and thus even if you had 1 out
of 5 pages that were c...

How to Highlight First Form?
My document has a header and then begins with the following (no paragraphs
in between) on the FIRST line:
Your Name:
Tab Chr
Form Field
Paragraph mark
When I lock this document, then save as a template, the Form Field is
highlighted as I would expect.
But when I open this as a new file from the Template, the "highlighted" area
is a space just before the Form Field, but after the ...

Can't hide my graphics
I am making up a homework very long book for my students, and I want to
also be able to print out an answer key also. It is very convenient to use
hidden text because I can print it without the answers for the students and
with the answers for myself. Although that works beauifully for text, many
of the answers are drawings. Sometimes they are line drawings, sometimes
bitmaps (Jpeg or ...

Auto-numbering keeps goofing up
I am creating a long numbered list of questions for my students. I must
use auto-numbering because I add and delete questions as well as moving them
around. I type up the questions using auto-numbering as follows:
1. Question 1
a. Answer 1
b. Answer 2
c. Answer 3
2. Question 2
a. Answer 4
b. Answer 5
3. Question 3 (draw a picture)...

Creating a Form need to make TEXT not move
I am attempting to create a form. I want to have Customer Name:
then a text form field and then another heading - Date: then a text
form field on the same line. The problem I am having that after a few
characters of typing the customer name field in the "Date:" moves to
the right. Is there any way to lock the Date in place? There is
plenty of room between the Customer name and the D...

My very first heading (style Heading 2) appears twice in my TOC. It defies
all attempts to fix it. I deleted ity completely, it disappeared from TOC,
reinserted it - it appears twice. Am I seeing things or is this really
happening?...
