2 questions about drawing canvases
I'm gradually figuring out how to use textboxes within drawing canvases to
implement floating figures and tables (a la LaTeX) in MS Word. I have 2
questions.
(1) How do I make a floating object occupy an entire page? (I.e., appear on
page by itself near the page on which it is anchored in the text?) The most
I can do, by expanding it, is get it to occupy all but one line of the page....

changing line colour in an organization chart
I have started going through the book "Microsoft Office Specialist Study
Guide
Office 2003 Edition" and have come across a bit I can not get to work as the
book states, page 32. That is to change the colour of the connecting lines
in
an autoformatted (Bevel) organisation chart. When I go to the AutoShape

can't see header in print preview
For some reason, my header (which contains a jpeg image logo) disappears when
I'm in print-preview and appears when in print layout view. It sometimes
prints and sometimes doesn't. I've checked all the layout paramaters and I'm
within the page margins. I can select the image, and can see the outline of
the image, but not the image itself. Can anyone tell me what is going on

How do I set alpha blending (transparency) in Word?
I want to use a picture as background in Word, so due to the fact that i
didn't find a way to fill the background with a picture, I tried to use a
regular picture (with insert), then sent it to back of the text. Anyway, if I
use only dark colors on my page, I could use the picture in front of text,
then set the transparency for the image. Can I set the transparency level?...

drawing tool bar
In Word 2003, I have to display the Drawing toolbar every time I want to use
it. In earlier versions of Word, I set it once and it was permanently
visible. Is there a setting that controls this?...

Read Picture Type?
I can set an inline picture datatype as e.g. jpeg, metafile, ,etc
but how can i read existing picture type:
With ActiveDocument

How can I change the height of all pictures in a document.
Well, the major idea is in the subject. I want to change all of the pictures
in an MS word document to 1 size while keeping the ratio locked. Anything,
anything anything will help because I'm pasting a large number of pictures
into documents and I hate resizing one by one....

Help ! Only hyperlink shown when copy picture from web
I am using Word 2003, but when I select a picture from web page and
right click and copy it , and paster in Word, only a hyperlink of the
picture shown, although I know I can save it into Jpeg and insert it
inside the document , it is quite troublesome. I don't know what's
wrong with it and tried so many options in the Tools>Options , but can
do nothing.
Please help !!! Thank you !!!!

Why do Pictures, charts etc. only show in Reading layout?
Pictures, charts and such images do not show in normal layout; only the
handles on the empty box. They will show in Reading Layout....

How do I use macros to manipulate photos?
I size, set parameters and paste photos into documents using the same set of
actions for each photo. I would like to automate this task by creating a
macro but macros does not function once I am working within the photo. Does
anyone know how to get around this?...

Imported Graphic -- Ink Dots In All-White Area
I have a Word document I'm using as letterhead. I've imported the
company logo which is a CMYK TIFF file. The logo has a white
background. When I print the document, however, there are tiny pixels
of ink behind the logo within the entire bounding box of the graphic.
How can I get rid of this?

Why do images appear only in reading layout and not print layout?
In word 2003 when I read/scroll in print layout the images might or might not
be visible. If they are visible they disappear as I scoll past them and
return to them. I do ot have the "picture placeholders" selected. If I change
the size of the document (e.g. 100% to 75%) the pictures will appear again,
if I use reading layout the pictures appear just fine. I have re-loaded the
software a...

Signature
I would like to create a signature that I can use with WORD that has a
transparent background so when I insert it into WORD it looks a a true
signature instead of a label with a signature on it. Example, if a
signature must be signed on a line I do not want a label to cover the entire
line, I would like a signature on a transparent background so when laid on a

Clip Organizer doesn't see folders
I am running Office XP on a Windows 98SE platform. When I tried to run Clip
Organizer (in Word) for the first time it only recognized my Windows folder.
All other folders on my hard drive were ignored. How do I get it to
recognize other folders so I can search them for clips?...

Word 2007 - resize image aspect ratio not locked when drag corner
In previous versions of Word, dragging the corner of an image locked the
aspect ratio (i.e. didn't squish or stretch the image). This no longer
happens.
It appears the only way to lock the ratio is to hold down Shift. I think
this is a big mistake - this is not obvious at all. In 95% of the cases,
people don't want to alter the aspect ratio - e.g. company logos, photos,
screenshots...

Word: toolbars --> option to change to the lay-out 2003
In Word 2007 beta the toolbar at the tob of the screen is too messy. For
example the style icons at home are too big. But the biggist frustration is
the miss of the file, view, tools at the top of the screen. I think that it's
better that people can choose betwwen the new and old lay-out because it's
very hard to find for example 'set language'

How do I transfer a picture from MS Word to a photoshop?
I have Microsoft Office 2003. I have received a document with photos pasted
to it. I want to print these photos as I would any other photos such as from
my digital camera. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 also. I cannot figure
out how to transfer these pictures to where I can print them as I would a
photo, one at a time and enlarge or shrink as needed....

Inserted image blinks when document is opened
We have just installed (2) new Dell computers which have preloaded Microsoft
Word 2003. When I open old word documents with our company logo (BMP Image)
it blinks as well as the entire document. When I finally scroll past the
image, the blinking document stops. When I scroll back up the page where the
logo is the blinking document starts all over. We do have another computer

word 2007 Captions
When you insert a caption into a document that contains numbering it does not
automatically updates when it is moved to another chapter or section.
Further it does change it when the contents table is updated. This is not
nice.....

Copying a document from Draft Template to no watermank doc.
I created a document on a word downloaded template that I'm unable to copy
the text without the "DRAFT" watermark in the background. I've tried going
into Format/ backgrounds etc... without prevail. Is there anyway that I can

Draw frame
It is very irritating to have the Draw Frame appear every time you select a
draw tool. I do not want to see it. Create a way users can turn that off.
