Word Chart
I'm working with a large number of charts in Word rather than importing them
from Excel because I have too many problems with changes, styles, etc. when I
import them. However, I don't know much about charts in Word, and they don't
seem to have quite the same flexibility as in Excel. A couple questions
about bar charts.
1. I have text in cells that I would like to break onto 2 lines. ...

Disappearing Image of Photos in WORD
Photos and Art "inserted" into Word documents frequently become just blank
spaces in the display of the document until the object is slightly resized.
The images are there, but appear only as a blank space until manipulated.
Why does this happen and what fix is available to prevent this annoying
problem.
I am using WORD 2003 running under Windows XP Pro, SP2, on a machine with 2
GB ...

Word beta slows dramatically upon JPEG insertion
I've got a reasonably fast XP machine -- 2G memory, Athlon 64 (32 bit mode),
3000+ -- and Word slows to a crawl when I create this document:
Type "This is a test" in a new document.
Insert a 470KB JPG file below that line.
Type below it "This is a test."
It takes four seconds for letters in the bottom line to appear, one at a
time, after I finish typing.
Obviously, one solution woul...

error inserting wmf graphic objects
I recently installed Office 2003 Professional. I get an error if I try to
insert any .wmf object into any of the Office products. I can insert other
types of graphics without a problem. If I open an older Office file which
includes .wmf objects the objects do not display.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Office and the error continues.
I have also added all of the optional c...

Why are there unpredictable spaces in the text around figure boxe.
Why are there unpredictable spaces in the text around figure boxes even when
set at tight wrapping? Each time I edit text in the document some new,
unexpected spaces show up and seem to be related to the presence of figures

How to select a picture behind header/footer?
Is there any way (other than deleting the whole header/footer) to select a
logo/graphic that was placed in a header or footer, that now appears to be
behind it? It seems that if the logo or graphic edge does not protrude past
the boundary of the header/footer, you're doomed to recreate the whole thing,
even if you just want to change the graphic or logo....

text boxes cut off
I'm using Word 2000, and when I copy in a diagram with text boxes into my

properties of the document? Where would I change those?

Inserting Pictures - Word2003
In older versions of Word, you could easily select the directory you wanted
to insert pictures from into your document and it would remember the
directory setting. In Word2003, it will not remember the directory. Every
time I insert a picture, I have to re-find and re-select the directory. This
is very annoying and time consuming when I have to insert a lot of pictures
into a report. ...

I frequently add screen captures into documents I'm writing. I am frazzled

select Format Picture, select Layout, then choose a layout style, such as
